The Primary responsibility is to work closely with the Buyer, Merchandise Planner and Show Execution Coordinator on the planning of show scripts. This includes monitoring all shows and making changes necessary to optimize profitability. This is an excellent starting role within TSC, providing many opportunities for professional growth within the Buying team.

 

Show Planning

• Obtain first draft of Showspread with new and relevant existing items from Merchandise Planner which has been analyzed against historic DPM and current target DPM.

• Prior to building a show, requisition showroom samples for review with Buyer, as needed.

• Discuss show strategy with both Buyer and Merchandise Planner (historical performance, targets, GP%, aged vs new inventory, AO plans).

• Review pricing strategy and ensure markdowns are planned and submitted. Create PIM for all items (both on air and on line)

• After buyer/planner meeting, update showspread and publish.

• Meet with Programming Manager to review promotional strategy of show

• Setup show planning call with Scenic, Lighting, Production, Hosts & Vendors/guests

• Manage show vision to include product setup, demo execution, set location, b-roll, graphics, stills, feature sheets, B&A support etc

• Complete Show Execution memo (marketing promotions & messages, show strategy, targets, callers to air plan, demo plans)

• Meet with Show Execution Coordinator to review show strategy and script

• Complete script - script/show order, length of time, back-up of items, show vision, easy pays, upsells, estimated units and sales expectations

• Plan script revisions hour by hour. Watch & monitor shows.

• Sign-off on Pre-Show Checklist (confirm inventory, including possible cancellations, AO’s, Easy Pays, start quantities, scripted guests, confirm info banners, guest bio, brand info, marketing messages, show strategy support flow, on-air graphics, samples for onair use including demo items)

 

Show Execution and Monitoring

• Request all support assets from vendor (A/B Roll, claims, B&A’s, charts, FAQ’s)

• Develop and manage show support (transfer any existing show support to new items and double check repeat items have proper support attached. Delete old support which is no longer valid)

• Confirm all sales assets , b-roll, graphics, stills, feature sheets, B&A support is correct and in the system

• Finalize show line-up with Buyer and guest (e-mail scripts to guest) confirm spelling, pricing, S&H, EasyPay are correct

• Ensure all info is relayed to hosts, guests and crew (need to define “all info”)

• Same-day show revisions based on sales performance

• Request model samples needed 1 week prior to show.

• Create on-air graphics.

• Communicate changes to Show Execution Coordinator

• Intra day revisions when Programmer category is the TS

• Ensure any and all feedback from launch hours is being incorporated into next-day execution

• Chair the 7:15am and 9:15am daily meetings, providing notes on each

• Coordinate any ‘all hands on deck’ execution changes when a day needs considerable rework

• Manage and support intraday changes for non-TS shows

• Support guest services for non-TS visits ensuring they are ready for the day

• Same-day show revisions based on sales performance

• Issue AO's where required

• Revise scripts and determine course of action for on-air execution (determine if support material, graphics, models, demos, samples, set - are affected by revision)

• Communicate with Leadership team as well as guests, hosts and crew on all show execution and same-day show revisions

• Monitor overnight schedule plan and adjust prior to midnight Communication Communicate with Merchandise Planner, Director/Merch Manager, Buyer and Show Execution Coordinator and all key stakeholders regarding lead-up and same-day show revisions for designated category/brand
