Reporting into the Senior Manager of Communications, Sales & Promotions, the selected candidate will be responsible for the event production of all leadership and sponsorship events, ticketing management for all major sporting games within the Major Accounts team. The successful candidate will possess outstanding interaction, event production, project management, and collaboration skillsets and will bring demonstrated expertise in delivering insightful and innovative experiences with a high standard of excellence.


Roles and Accountabilities:


  • Manage and execute a diverse portfolio of events, work with a variety of vendors, suppliers, venues and agency partners and internal stakeholders as required.
  • Manage all aspects of event production to meet/exceed the business objectives and financial targets, including, but not limited to event production A/V and staging.
  • Co-ordinate event logistics including venue, catering, travel and transportation.
  • Effectively execute venue and location sourcing, contract negotiations, and budget creation.
  • Co-ordinate event design, including, but not limited to layout, general creative, flow and event décor.
  • Work with stakeholders to develop content and agenda.
  • Create run of show as required and define the attendee journey for all event touch points.
  • Post event review and analysis – PIR or survey.
  • Manage agency relationships as required.
  • Work closely with other internal teams including Creative Services, Brand and Marketing.
  • Foster productive and collaborative relationships with strategic partners and other Rogers business units as opportunities permit – understand each line of business and their key objectives.
  • Provide point of view on venue recommendations/suitability and space for Major Accounts teams.
  • Actively manage any SWAG related requests and ensure that brand guidelines are being met.
  • Troubleshoot and negotiate double bookings, multiple requests and prioritizations.
  • Manage scheduling and administration of Raptors, Blue Jays, Leafs and TFC games for our Rogers clients.
  • Act as point person with Rogers Major Accounts and builder/developer clients.
  • Work on any other ad-hoc related items as needed, while supporting the overall team with any other requests as needed.


Skills and Qualifications:


  • 5+ years of related events experience with a proven track record of expertise in Events Management and/or Experiential Marketing.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to work successfully within various organizational levels, whether that be with colleagues, senior executives, customers, VIP clients or partners.
  • Considerable experience in corporate event management.
  • Superior project management skills and detail orientation with proven ability to manage and prioritize competing projects.
  • Innovative self-starter with a demonstrated ability to succeed in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in standard suite of Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.
  • Available to work during normal business hours and on evenings / weekends as required for event execution.
  • Valid driver's license and Canadian Passport.
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, event, communications or related field considered an asset.
