If so, Rogers is looking for a Manager, Retail Design who is enthusiastic about being part of a dynamic team to deliver a differentiated retail experience for Roger’s brand.

Manager, Retail Design plays an integral part in bringing the design of Rogers branded retail stores & kiosks to life.  The Manager, Retail Design will promote a successful attitude, confidence in leadership, and teamwork to achieve business results. They contribute to Store Development business goals with Construction & Real Estate by achieving target deliverables on the required number of stores. This role reports to the Senior Manager, Retail Design & Merchandising.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all design strategies are adhered to and are clearly communicated
  • Provide clear, effective and timely communication of design direction and changes to internal teams and consultants while challenging and inspiring partners to achieve business results
  • Identify exceptions and propose design solutions to resolve issues collaboratively with the Senior Manager, Retail Design, and Merchandising
  • Responsible for the development of all schematic drawings of retail stores
  • Develop briefs with design direction and sketches for new fixtures to be prototyped; manage the prototype phase
  • Complete review of all shop drawings for design intent
  • Ensures design standards and guidelines are updated and maintained for accuracy as design evolves
  • Work closely with internal teams including real estate, construction, retail merchandising, operations, creative, brand, and IT
  • Manage Capex/Opex budget for all design initiatives


Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in interior design, architecture or related field.
  • Minimum 6+ years of relevant experience in retail design.  (telcom experience an asset).
  • Managing outside architectural, MEP and other design consultants in a national company min. 5 years
  • Current knowledge of industry trends in retail store design.
  • Current working knowledge of building codes and compliance issues.
  • Demonstrated a high level of creativity and 3D visualization ability and working knowledge of color and design principles.
  • Excellent understanding of construction, millwork fabrication, construction documentation.
  • Experience working and managing internal and external partners.
  • Solid understanding of retail, operations, design and the customer navigation as it relates to the path to purchase.
  • Ability to anticipate future retail needs/opportunities and ensure that these are integrated into future design strategies.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and concisely in both verbal and written form.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently.
  • Project management experience is essential.
  • Proven experience meeting tight timelines and budgets.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Sketch Up, Photoshop, Acrobat, PowerPoint and Excel is a must.​​​​​​​
