Rogers Media is seeking a Digital Account Executive, reporting into the Director, Digital Sales. The Account Executive will be responsible for developing relationships and digital revenue from large scale national advertisers.  They will lead conversations about business objectives and digital strategy with marketing departments and executives in leading national advertisers.  In addition, the Account Executive will represent digital in multi-platform ideation for custom client solutions.




  • Manage a list of active clients and boutique advertising agencies within a defined group and develop new relationships to drive new opportunities for Rogers Digital Media
  • Establish a collaborative business relationship between Rogers Digital Media and national direct advertisers, and their marketing partners.
  • Serve as a liaison with clients regarding new product launches and advertising opportunities.
  • Develop creative and consultative sales presentations to demonstrate how Rogers Digital Media's advertising products can be leveraged to connect with consumers
  • Help advertisers build and execute effective campaigns, measure results, and renew / up-sell to drive revenue growth
  • Communicate campaign “highlights” and/or red flags to enable resolution with client 
  • Lead development of renewal strategies based on client/program insights 
  • Obtain business intelligence for large scale direct national advertisers (ad dollars, media coverage, digital marketing activity and digital business strategy).
  • Onboard new business through activating with new direct advertisers
  • Forecast business figures internally and take ownership with the manager of your assigned group.
  • Generate business plans to define strategies and tactics.
  • Monitor and manage monthly and quarterly targets
  • Maintain records of all activity and communication in CRM
  • Thought leadership – immersing yourself in the digital media landscape, and adapting to Rogers Digital Media's ongoing product developments.
  • Attend industry and trade events
  • Maintain a high level of training and knowledge globally on products, industry trends and best practices
  • Manage multiple cross-product opportunities and projects.
  • Create and build relationships with internal sales teams and work collaboratively with colleagues to drive further solutions





  • Demonstrated success in achieving/exceeding sales quotas and growing share of spend from accounts
  • 5+ years of sales experience in a digital advertising environment
  • Able to prioritize in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to make strategic recommendations on marketing initiatives
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence effectively at all levels of an organization, including executive level.
  • Experience in delivering client-focused solutions based on customer needs
  • Must have strong listening, questioning, negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills 
  • Detail oriented and responsive, deadline-driven with strong quantitative reasoning skills 
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma, preferably in Marketing or Business

Preferred skills:

  • Knowledge of digital OMS
  • Experience using comScore
  • Salesforce knowledge is an asset
