At Rogers, we make more possible, and data and technology is at the heart of that. We are seeking a Head of Digital Media Strategy to help us make technology decisions, drive a multi year roadmap, connect data and implement audience first digital marketing best practices.

The Head of Digital Marketing Strategy will partner with our Media Agency, and internal Digital and Marketing teams to drive the evolution of our Digital Marketing capabilities.

The successful candidate will have 10-15 years in digital marketing strategy and high-level management forging innovation, and leading digital marketing transformation.

Job Duties/ Responsibilities

  • Future proof and evolve Digital Marketing capabilities by owning and delivering on a multi-year roadmap in support of Rogers long term Digital Media vision and strategy
  • Identify and activate data required to transform Digital optimization and attribution capabilities
  • Evaluate current technology platforms to identify gaps, opportunities for consolidation, grow revenue or reduce costs
  • Create presentations for senior executives; coordinate materials across multiple teams; be comfortable presenting to executive teams
  • Ensure that Rogers Marketing Tech and Ad Tech ecosystems are integrated and efficient without duplication of capabilities
  • Stay abreast of the latest trends in the digital industry in North America through constant research, article reading, webinars, and industry events
  • Create an approach to digital media – through strategy, technology and data that positions Rogers as a marketing leader in the Cookieless future

Critical Qualifications/Competencies

  • Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in digital marketing strategy with a top tier agency, consultancy or digital marketing arm of large corporate, ideally in the telecom space
  • Knowledge of web and app tagging (preferably hands on experience with Google Tag Manager or Adobe Launch) to inform pragmatic strategy guidance
  • Deep Technical Knowledge of Google Marketing Platform, Adobe Marketing Cloud or similar
  • Experience activating 1st party data for Digital Marketing campaigns leveraging DMP, CDP or other
  • Experience with Search Ads 360, DV360, Campaign Manager, Facebook Business Manager
  • Adept at leading projects involving complex work streams and cross functional collaboration both internally and externally
  • Experience working cross-functionally with other teams and managing, mentoring, supervising, and coaching others
  • Knowledge of Cloud Infrastructure concepts
  • Strong analytical and communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Bachelor’s degree, MBA or equivalent practical experience in Marketing, Business Strategy, or related field
