The Sales Finance Manager role is a key position supporting the Director of Finance and SVP Media Sales.  The Sales Finance Manager will have oversight over the financial planning and analysis for the Media Sales organization and will be a valuable connection point between Corporate finance and the business.   


What you'll be doing:

  • Leading the preparation of monthly forecasts and annual budgets for the sales organization
  • Preparing monthly journal entries and coordinate the month-end process
  • Work across the MBU finance team to ensure proper allocation of Sales COE costs to the respective divisions
  • Assist in the developing of long range targets for advertising revenue and expenses for the sales org
  • Monitoring and analyzing weekly revenue reports
  • Present variance analyses on a regular and timely basis; communicate key trends and observations; make recommendations and champion opportunities to improve performance
  • Responsible for the preparation of monthly financial sales results and review meetings
  • Evolve performance management metrics to drive opportunities across the sales organization including tracking of initiatives both spend and returns.
  • Develop and support detailed revenue and cost models used for decision support.
  • Assist the procurement/payables process through the submission of direct invoices and purchase order requisitions
  • Supporting capital expenditure reporting
  • Adhoc projects and financial analysis, as required

  • Ability to develop proactive relationships with multiple stakeholders
  • University degree with 5-7 years of experience in an accounting or financial analysis environment
  • CA, CGA, CMA or MBA designation is required
  • Highly advanced analytical and forecasting skills and be a detailed oriented person
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects in a high-paced / performance-driven environment
  • Proficient with Excel and Powerpoint with experience in financial modeling/executive-level presentations.
  • Oracle and Hyperion skills a bonus, but not required.
