POSITION:                       Coordinator, Marketing and Communications – Jays Care Foundation

TERM:                              Full Time

RESPONSIBLE TO:        Analyst, Marketing and Communications – Jays Care Foundation


Jays Care is currently seeking a Marketing and Communications Coordinator to support Jays Care’s communications, fundraising and programming portfolios. The ideal candidate has exceptional written communication skills, digital marketing experience and is a dependable self-starter. Reporting to the Marketing and Communications Analyst, the position will broadly support the development and implementation of the marketing and communications strategic and tactical plan. The position is be based out of Rogers Centre on a full-time basis with 35-hour weeks.



  • Support the development and implementation of marketing and communications strategic and tactical plan
  • Support the writing of communications pieces, including: press releases, newsletters, annual report, donor acknowledgement letters, and website updates

·       Support the planning and execution of a social media content calendar through various social platforms, including: Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook

  • Support and execution of internal communications efforts
  • Support the scripting and planning of video content
  • Track traditional and social media exposure
  • Other administration & program duties as required



  • Minimum 2+ years experience in marketing and communications or related field
  • Completion of a post-secondary degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism or a related field
  • Strong written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in digital marketing is an asset
  • Willingness to work flexible hours outside of regular 9-5 schedule
  • Highly organized with the ability to multi-task, a strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • A team player with the ability to see big picture goals of the organization and contribute to day-to-day tasks
  • Professional or volunteer experience in the public and/or the not-for profit sector an asset
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite an asset
  • Experience in video production an asset
  • Understanding of and passion for the game of baseball and the Toronto Blue Jays

·       Willing to travel as required

·       Successful candidate will undergo a Vulnerable Sector Check
