Product Marketing Manager – Fido

The Product Marketing Manager - Fido will focus on delivering profitable growth for Fido Data only and Device protection portfolio through the planning, development and execution of strategic marketing programs. This person will be responsible for the planning of promotional activity, monitoring performance and when needed, developing new action plans to deliver results.


This is the ideal job for a candidate who can manage multiple tasks, works well independently and in a cross-functional team and likes a healthy balance of strategy and execution.  A strong focus is placed on analyzing and understanding internal consumer & business results as well as market factors to form a recommendation.


Reporting to the Sr. Director, Fido Marketing this person will be an instrumental part of the team that is accountable for delivering on net additions and revenue results. The Manager will work with a cross-functional team that will execute and deliver on the plans throughout all consumer channels.


What you will be doing:

  • Own the end-to-end management of the P&L for the Fido Data-only (tablets and mobile internet devices) as well as device protection portfolio
  • Create, manage and evolve the product value proposition (market insights, target profile, Fido positioning, etc).
  • Working closely with Product teams, drive the product portfolio end-to-end, (product strategy, market potential, product selection, product sustainability/profitability)
  • Create and manage marketing activities that will achieve nets target for each product
  • Lead cross-functional teams in the execution of marketing plans / programs and oversee the implementation of the product marketing plan
  • Ensure end-to-end execution of plan occurs flawlessly, on time and on budget
  • Monitor daily performance of portfolios against targets. Identify and address any performance/competitor gaps
  • Manage PIR of activities and promotions and apply any learnings to future promotions
  • Work with Commercial Strategy and Device Management teams to select and launch new Tablets and offers, provide calendar of activities for forecasting and ensure adequate inventory exists
  • Stay informed/educated on the competitive landscape, market conditions and consumer insights and evaluate new marketing opportunities to be included within the plan
  • Develop a deep understanding of the consumer and maintain a "customer first" lens when planning and executing programs


What you have:

 The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

  • A team player, able to work well independently and in a cross-functional team environment to drive results
  • A self starter, driven, action oriented personality with a proven ability to achieve KPI’s
  • 5-7 years of marketing or product management experience
  • Strong analytical skills and proven experience working with Excel models, data visualization and reporting tools
  • Demonstrate strong customer service orientation, interpersonal and communication (written/verbal) skills
  • Strong proficiency with PowerPoint & Excel
  • Must thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing work environment
  • University degree -preferably focused in Business/Commerce, Marketing and Strategy
