We are currently seeking a highly talented Senior Financial Analyst, Finance Reporting and Planning to join the Media Finance team at Rogers Media.  This role will report into the Senior Finance Manager, Media Finance.

 

The Senior Financial Analyst will have a “front seat” view of Rogers Media by contributing towards the financial planning and analysis for the Media Business Unit (MBU), and will be a key connection point between Corporate finance and finance operations.  This role will also represent all interests for Media Corporate, and will be pivotal in managing the coordination of all budgeting, forecasting, and planning requirements for the division.   

 

This role will help support the Senior Finance Manager, Director of Finance in obtaining an “uber” financial view for the MBU.

 

What you'll be doing:

  • Consolidate divisional month end and forecast results into one MBU view for revenues, expenses on a monthly basis with commentary
  • Lead the Media finance timelines by communicating with other finance peers on month end, budget, and forecasts
  • Assist on ELT presentation decks related to budgets, and forecasts that illustrate the overall Media view
  • Support the Monthly Business Review process by consolidating business insights
  • Manage the Media Corporate portfolio's budgets, forecasts, and month end
  • Assist on cost playbook reporting and partnering with the finance peers on identifying further initiatives
  • Assist in the developing of long range targets for revenue and expenses for the MBU divisions
  • Take part in any strategic initiatives/projects
  • Ad hoc financial analysis, as required

  • Ability to develop proactive relationships with multiple stakeholders
  • University degree with 3-5 years of experience in an accounting or financial analysis environment
  • CA, CGA, CMA or MBA designation is required
  • Highly advanced analytical and forecasting skills and be a detailed oriented person
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects in a high-paced / performance-driven environment
  • Proficient with Excel and Powerpoint with experience in financial modeling/executive-level presentations.
  • Oracle and Hyperion skills a bonus, but not required.
