Senior Manager Connecting Living

The Senior Manager Connected Living will be part of the Accessories team within Consumer Wireless. They will be responsible to build and develop an IoT/Connected strategy managing category building, product selection, storytelling, digital experience, and lifecycle for all Connected Living solutions.

The candidate requires a solid foundation in product management, product marketing, retail understanding and sales enablement. A broad understanding of the wireless industry, specifically M2M/M2M2C & 5G IoT solutions is a requirement.


What you will be doing:

Product Strategy and Roadmap

  • Specify market requirements for current and future connected products and services leveraging market research, retail & carrier analytics, and industry based focus groups
  • Drive the digital experience across all platforms
  • Develop roadmap based on key categories within the Connected Living/5G IoT space by working with OEMs, and third party service providers to lead the market with innovative and relevant consumer products
  • Stay informed on the latest market, customer, and technology trends to adapt/evolve the categories
  • Strategically align with internal teams to collaborate on similar or complementary solutions.


Product Management

  • OEM selection & contract negotiation
  • Manage co-innovation engagements
  • Manage lifecycle of products and services driving quarterly sell-through programs and obsolescence mitigation planning


Operational Readiness

  • Develop sales training material, including product information decks, comparison card, etc.
  • Provide or oversee solution training to support all sales channels
  • Provide or oversee technical training
  • Ensure customer billing systems are in place to support solutions
  • Building out reverse logistic where/when required


Sales Enablement & Support

  • Develop strategies to increase basket size/attach rates
  • Collaborate with channels to achieve financial targets and set goals
  • Point reference for all product related enquiries


Marketing Support

  • Provide direction and support to Product Marketing on product positioning, pricing, and features
  • Work with Product Marketing to develop and ensure a successful execution of the product launch plan and ongoing marketing/program planning


What you have:

Preference will be given to the candidate who can demonstrate most or all of the following:

  • 5+ years of retail experience related to accessories
  • 4+ years of experience in Product Management
  • 2+ years of experience in Connected Living/IoT/5G platforms and solutions
  • Entrepreneurial spirit to drive passionate ownership and responsibility for the business
  • Self-motivated, with strong organizational & interpersonal skills including the ability to plan, organize and prioritize multiple duties and responsibilities simultaneously, and to reach out to and collaborate with other teams within the broader Rogers organization
  • Experience in the development of business plans including business cases, cost/benefit analysis, revenue potential, pricing models, forecasts, and contracts
  • Excellent communication and presentation development and delivery skills
  • Undergraduate degree in a technology and/or business field; Master's degree preferred
  • Bilingual preferred
