Sr Manager, Strategy & Planning

We are seeking a proactive, creative, and organized Senior Manager, Strategy & Planning with a curious mindset to help drive key strategic initiatives and programs designed to grow the Wireless Rogers brand customer base and deliver best-in-class revenue and profitability, while improving customer experience and likelihood to recommend.

This position reports to the Director, Wireless Strategy, Planning & Governance, with a dotted line to the Rogers GM, and works very closely with the Rogers Senior Leadership Team.


What you will do:



  • Help shape the Rogers brand strategy.

  • Provide strategic thought leadership and storytelling.

  • Provide insights and narrative on weekly & monthly performance drivers.

  • Support & coordinate the preparation of all executive review materials.

  • Provide a lens across all functions of the business to guide sound decision-making and strategy recommendations.

  • Manage, keep track and provide updates of strategic priorities and workstreams execution.


Project/Program Management

  • Help drive key programs to bring the strategic vision to life.

  • Run the business operations by creating robust processes so that each Rogers team is interconnected and works harmoniously to common KPI’s.

  • Support strategic assignments, ad-hoc programs and projects as required.


Planning and Execution

  • Lead the Wireless end-to-end planning process, outlining timelines and working with Stakeholders to produce the Quarterly & Annual Operating plans.

  • Facilitate progress reviews with key stakeholders in different forums.

  • Communicate and align on the strategic plan and direction with cross-functional teams.



  • Work collaboratively and effectively across the organization.

  • Take initiative willingly in identifying and driving forward opportunities.

  • Drive and facilitate the development of team culture, working with Comms and HR teams.


Efficiently running key meetings

  • Facilitate all business meetings (e.g., Weekly Results, Rogers SLT, Rogers GM Office Hours, Town Halls, Offsites, etc.), managing the agenda, capturing & tracking action items to ensure they are completed by the relevant owner(s).

  • Coordinate the weekly, monthly, quarterly & annual calendar and meetings to ensure that all deliverables are met as per the Consumer Wireless Governance model.


What you will bring:


  • 7-10 years of experience in strategy, planning, marketing, product and/or communication.

  • 4-5 years of experience in the Canadian Wireless Industry.

  • 3-4 years of experience with executive presentation (presenting to Senior Leadership Teams).

  • Strong leadership capabilities to motivate and encourage team members, and a proactive mindset: see what needs to be done and take initiative.

  • Strong at communicating and building relationships at all levels of the organization, possessing excellent planning and organizational management skills.

  • Exceptional communication (written and oral) and storytelling skills for presentation purposes; ability to simplify complex topics and tell a compelling story to drive our programs forward.

  • Exceptional deck development and presentation skills.

  • Strong analytical, creative problem-solving and decision-making skills.

  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and conflicting priorities, reacting quickly to resolve business problems to meet deadlines.

  • Proven track record of being able to work very well in cross-functional teams.

  • Strong program & project management skills, with the ability to define and prioritize initiatives and manage multiple projects and priorities at once, while working cross-functionally and managing complex stakeholder relationships.

  • Strong business and financial acumen, being able to drive insights from available data and effectively communicate their value to the business.

  • Outstanding data analytics skills, being comfortable performing complex data analysis and presenting to key stakeholders.

  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively, with experience succeeding in a highly matrixed, fast-paced environment, and comfortable working in a straight line and dotted line reporting structure.

  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and to turn concepts into a plan.

  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.

  • Passionate to drive change and results.

  • Managerial courage.




  • Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree.
