Rogers Communications – Corporate Strategy Group

The Corporate Strategy and Planning team partners with Executive Leaders in the business units and departments to address challenging strategic and operational questions. Our team members support long term corporate decisions, generate insights into the performance of our business, and serve as a knowledge base of current and future industry dynamics.  By joining our team, you will build your skills in data analysis, financial modeling, effective verbal and written communication, project management, and research.  Moreover, work with the Corporate Strategy team will kick-start your career with various leadership paths available both within our team and across Rogers.  

 

Sr. Analyst/Manager, Strategy (based on experience)

The successful candidate will work within the Corporate Strategy & Planning Group and with business leads to develop corporate strategies. The successful candidate will work across simultaneous initiatives, support strategy project execution, and provide analysis to support decision-making. The work environment is team-based, requiring the individual to be able to manage project teams and work in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will: 

  • Assist in the development of long-term strategic objectives for RCI
  • Work with the Strategy team and senior business leaders to scope and initiate projects aimed at resolving critical strategic issues for RCI
  • Provide analytic support and insight in the development and implementation of strategic plans
  • Guide and manage teams to ensure that deliverables are completed on time
  • Develop recommendations to directors and more senior business leads to make key business decisions and/or transactions
  • Build strong and ongoing relationships with business leads, assisting on business specific analysis 
  • Work collaboratively across the organization, facilitating effective communication across business units and functional lines of business
  • Serve as strategic thought partner to the Strategy Group’s senior leadership

 

 Qualifications (Position title based on experience and skills level):

  • 3 to 5+ years work experience in strategy, at a management consulting firm, investment bank, or similar corporate strategy roles
  • Proven analytical, financial modeling and problem solving skills
  • Ability to resolve complex challenges and deliver effective solutions
  • Experience managing project teams
  • Strong communications (written & oral) and interpersonal skills; strong sense of presence - confident and comfortable working with senior management
  • Strong time management capabilities, with the ability to perform multiple tasks and objectives
  • Strong sense of initiative and a self-starter who can work equally well in groups or on their own
  • Results oriented, flexible and willing to work in a multi-task and dynamic work environment
  • Comfort with ambiguity
