The Toronto Blue Jays Organization is seeking hard-working individuals with a dedication to customer service and a passion for enhancing the fan experience. This role requires a willingness to assist fans in a polite and friendly manner, strong interpersonal communication skills, and ability to problem solve.

Ushering staff are primarily responsible for the correct seating and directions of fans according to their ticket, proactively monitoring an assigned area for safety, and ensuring fans are upholding the Fan Code Conduct allowing for all fans to have a positive experience. Ideal candidates have some experience working with people in a customer-service capacity.


Applicants must be available to work a minimum of 80% of all regular season home games, and 35% (or as needed) of any other events including evenings, weekends and holidays as required. Staff are also expected to attend a pre-game/event meeting 30 minutes prior to gates open. 


This is a part-time contract position from January to November with the possibility of extension.



  • Greet and assist all fans with a welcoming, friendly attitude
  • Check each ticket completely, noting date, level, section, row and seat, at all times.
  • Direct or accompany, if possible, all fans to their correct seat
  • Monitor section and surrounding area for congestion, encouraging fans to continue moving through spaces
  • Receive and act on any fan complaints with a warm attitude and problem-solving approach
  • Monitor safety of all fans
  • Maintain an understanding of Rogers Centre policies and procedures, and act accordingly
  • Report any incident (major or minor) on an Incident Report Card and submit report to your supervisor.

  • You must be able and interested in supporting a team environment
  • Available to work 80% of all scheduled regular season home games including evenings, weekends and holidays as required.
  • Available to work a minimum of 35%, or as needed, other events
  • Ability to work in a busy, fast-paced environment while standing or moving up and down stairs for 4-5 hour shifts
  • Successful candidates must be 18 years of age or older


As a condition of hire, all new employees will be required to provide proof of vaccinations against COVID 19 or undergo regular testing. Any request for an exception under Human Rights legislation must be supported by evidence to be considered by Toronto Blue Jays on a case by case basis.
