We’re looking for a Community Engagement Specialist to get people in the Simcoe County region involved with and excited about their community channel, Rogers tv.   

What you will do…

  • Drive high community engagement by developing exciting on-air, online and in person promotions.
  • Recruit and retain diverse and committed volunteer team members, ensuring they’re provided the tools and training needed to make meaningful contributions to the station’s local programming.
  • Co-ordinate volunteer orientation sessions, training courses, materials and curriculum and schedule staff participation.
  • Work with production staff on the Crew Activity Portal including the updating, event scheduling, crew reports, training, etc… and ensure the number of trained volunteers meets the needs of the station.
  • Organize and actively participate in approved social events for volunteers, staff and company functions including National Volunteer Week celebrations.
  • Grow the station’s digital presence and reach on social media including Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.
  • As assigned, produce compelling local content that connects with audiences.
  • Manage 3rd party productions, including review and delivery to Master Control.
  • Assist the Station Manager by serving as a conduit between Simcoe County content producers and the station, helping to drive production partnerships and turnkey content.

  • A strong sense of initiative, with the ability to work equally effectively with minimal direction or when asked to collaborate closely with others.
  • An understanding of community television and the content production process.
