Who we're looking for:
We are looking for a motivated Developer with hands-on experience in Java, Spring Boot, and database technologies. The ideal candidate is eager to grow, proactive in solving problems, and passionate about delivering high‑quality, scalable backend services. You will be part of a collaborative development team working on microservices, APIs, and supporting DevOps workflows to deliver robust solutions that support business and customer experiences.


What you'll do:

  • Develop, enhance, and maintain backend microservices using Java and Spring Boot, contributing to clean, efficient, and well‑structured code.
  • Participate in API design, implementation, testing, and deployment across multiple environments.
  • Work with relational (SQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Cassandra) for data modelling, queries, and performance tuning.
  • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines using modern DevOps tooling such as Git, Maven, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, containerization platforms (Docker, Kubernetes), and automated deployment frameworks.
  • Collaborate closely with senior developers, architects, QA, and product owners to meet sprint objectives.
  • Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve application issues across development and production environments.
  • Follow Agile methodology, participate in ceremonies, and maintain documentation for technical solutions.
  • Ensure adherence to coding standards, security best practices, and operational excellence.

 

What you bring:

  • 1–3 years of experience in backend development (Java-based).
  • Strong knowledge of Java, Spring Boot, and API development (REST).
  • Experience with SQL (e.g., Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., Cassandra, MongoDB).
  • Familiarity with DevOps concepts and tools, such as:
    • Git, Git-based workflows
    • CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Azure DevOps)
    • Docker, Kubernetes (asset)
  • Understanding of microservices architecture and modern cloud platforms (Azure is an asset).
  • Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills, with the ability to pick up new technologies quickly.
  • Good communication and collaboration skills; able to work in a fast-paced Agile environment.

 

Bonus skills (not required but beneficial):

  • Experience with logging/monitoring tools (Kibana, Elasticsearch, Dynatrace)
  • Exposure to frontend frameworks (React/Angular)
  • Knowledge of AI-assisted coding tools like GitHub Copilot
