Reporting to the Sr. Director, the Director Mobile Outcomes will lead a critical team within Rogers Digital that is responsible for delivering innovative, engaging, profitable entertaining world-class mobile applications and experiences for our customers.

 

The successful candidate will have overall responsibility for the mobile product suites: documenting the vision, prioritizing, road-mapping, and overseeing the release cycle.  They will deeply understand Rogers’ business imperatives, mobile application ecosystems as well as the digital competitive landscape.  

 

What you will do…


Build and lead an outstanding team:

  • Own product roadmap and strategy; drive our digital offerings through conception, planning, development, release, early adoption, enhancement and market penetration
  • Serve as internal product expert on the Rogers and Fido mobile apps Digital products and experiences
  • Develop high engagement, scalable and stable products that grow user engagement
  • Rigorous use of data and analytics to drive product adoption and iteration
  • Use market and customer insights to deeply understand our customers to uncover creative solutions to their problems or needs
  • Recruit, develop and retain a high performing team that delivers positive contributions throughout the company
  • Coach and mentor employees at various levels, and with different domain expertise
  • Standardize our methodologies and tools to enable team flexibility and growth opportunities

 

Develop and socialize a compelling product vision

  • Translate our vision and strategy into product roadmaps that ultimately deliver a coherent set of experiences across the mobile platforms
  • Identify market opportunities that protect and extend digital’s unique competitive differentiators
  • Ensure that the entire organization understands the strategy and direction for our products
  • Represent the customer by considering the audience at every stage of product development (use market and customer insights for deep understanding)
  • Identify and communicate product KPIs that the entire organization can rally around
  • Nurture relationships and communicate effectively with internal stakeholders

 

Collaborate

  • Forge a healthy and productive working relationship with Digital Web Experience teams to ensure key deliverables are met and key learnings are enabled within the overall Rogers digital ecosystem
  • Work cross-functionally with multiple Rogers Digital teams: Data, Analytics, Connected Home, Wireless, Customer Account Management, Billing, etc.
  • Align on best practices with other Rogers Digital teams
  • Work closely with senior leadership providing status, action plans and recommendations

 

Drive the growth of a Product-centric culture

  • Energize the company with a real passion for our mobile apps and create a culture that values the role of mobile
  • Grow a mindset focused on continuous improvement and innovation
  • Create an experimentation and metrics driven environment that leads to impactful improvements on the business and for our customers
  • Understand various customers, markets, and competitors to drive product strategy and solve complex business decisions
  • Lead the product development lifecycle – brainstorming topics, problem statements, specifications, prototypes, key performance metrics, test plans, and more

 

What you will bring…

  • Experience launching large-scale consumer digital products in a complex organization on many digital channels
  • A proven track record of being a transformative leader and business enabler with superior stakeholder management skills, capable of changing mindsets and capabilities across a complex organization
  • A deep awareness of digital trends, emerging technologies, approaches, and competitor offerings.
  • The ability to drive engagement, productivity, and bench strength of the team
  • A genuine openness to feedback, and a willingness to encourage others to freely share their points of view
  • A passion for technology, innovation, and mobile apps
  • Self-starter, strong business acumen, strong listening and communicating skills, proactive, results-oriented and thrives working in a multi-functional team in a changing environment
  • Independent thought leadership and the ability to understand and navigate the complexities & implications of executing the strategy
  • Ability to influence at senior executive levels and motivate others, including those who do not have a direct reporting relationship
  • Organizational awareness & the ability to balance the viewpoints of various stakeholders
  • A focus on mentoring, coaching and developing a stellar team of top talent professionals
