Rogers is seeking a Director of IT Residential Provisioning Services to build and support the team that solutions, changes and ensures production stability for wireline provisioning and in addition being accountable for the platform development of legacy integration services.  Reporting to the VP of IT Residential Systems, at the Rogers Park Brampton Campus, the successful candidate will foster a culture of teamwork, build relationships with stakeholders, cultivate a high performing team and succeed in technical change and production stability.


What you will be doing...

  • Leading and building a team of about 40 resources including 4 managers: determine staffing requirements / task allocations, selection of team members; directs, motivates and develops staff, encouraging individual contribution, improvement within Rogers values and teamwork
  • Overseeing the solutions, technical design, development and implementation of multiple complex systems:  managing multiple development projects, development groups and/or application support functions, establish and adhering to an application roadmap
  • Production and application stability: working closely with internal and 3rd party technology partners to support trouble shooting and resolution of complex technical issues, helping pro-actively monitor and address production issues in advance, to build a successful feedback of learnings into improvements.
  • Experience working in a multi-vendor environment to a successful delivery of business capabilities and operational excellence. 
  • Managing strategic projects to completion
  • Budget build and adherence to spending plan and associated financial tracking
  • Being the 'expert go-to technology advisor' for client and internal partners
  • Understanding industry trends and practices for areas of domain expertise and contribute  to the development and implementation of corporate standards; supports adoption of best practices
  • Extends awareness of risks associated with application development and potential impacts, incorporating risk planning and mitigation.


What you have...

  • Bachelor’s degree in an Information Systems or related technical field
  • Significant experience in managing application development teams
  • Knowledge of system development and production support best practice
  • Experience within a national corporate IT environment.
  • Financial Management and Budgeting experience
  • Verbal and written communication skills
  • Project Management experience.
  • Team Leadership
  • Business Systems Planning
  • Business Functional, Operational, and Process Knowledge
  • Client and Vendor Partnerships
