The successful candidate will be a results oriented leader with extensive telecom industry knowledge in the area of civil standards (including STAC and CSA), practices, products and services. Managing a team of technical staff as well as outsourced resources and consultants to support and manage all wireless access related civil build, standards and support activities. You will look for ways to effectively support the delivery of major program builds in a cost effective and timely manner, while seeking ways to improve work order intervals and timelines.

 

You will be accountable to:

•Manage a group of civil designers to deliver on expected targets.

•Develop and update national civil infrastructure standards and guidelines.

•Deliver on all capital projects per plans including infrastructure as required.

•Ensuring engineering database integrity and records are accurate

•Ensure that all work performed meets engineering standards and guidelines.

•Liaison with Procurement to manage civil products and services .

•Ensure internal customers are fully supported for timely work orders and network standards

•Ensure all performance objectives are clear and communicated to staff to ensure alignment across the business

 

Qualifications

You are a seasoned people leader with a university degree or equivalent in a civil engineering or operational discipline with 8+ years’ experience in the telecom field.  You have proven leadership skills and have demonstrated the ability to lead a team to develop complex solutions facing multiple priorities.
