Rogers is seeking a manager to lead a team of full time and contractor employees to play a key role in solving complex business problems by turning data into actionable insights through conceptualizing, designing, developing and testing analytical solutions as required.

Reporting to the Snr Manager – BI & Platform Operations of Enterprise Data & Analytics (ED&A) at the Rogers Park Brampton and Toronto Campuses this individual will be responsible for Solution Design and Development of BI Projects.

This individual will be expected to lead the successful delivery of multiple simultaneous strategic programs working collaboratively with multiple business units, IT teams and external partners.

What You’ll be doing:

  • Manage a team of full time employees
    • Performance reviews
    • Mentoring & coaching (SME knowledge, industry best practices, design standards)
    • Hiring and employee development
  • Stakeholder Management
    • Manage relationships and expectations with Stakeholders.
    • Develop, lead and execute roadmaps to support business objectives
  • Project Delivery
    • Management and oversight of project delivery (Project Plans, Financials, Resource Management)
    • Ensure projects are meeting their deliverables for schedule, budget, quality and scope
  • Vendor Management
    • Manage vendor resource engagements
    • Manage vendor deliverables to ensure compliance to Rogers’ standards
    • Drive vendor efficiencies through automation \ optimization of processes
  • Solution Delivery
    • Review of solution designs and code to conform to Rogers’ SDLC standards and gating processes.
    • Design & Develop Data Warehouse ETLs and reports to meet project needs.
    • Participate in Joint Application Design (JAD) sessions to create / review solution designs.
    • Drive value-added decision through requirements and design phases of projects to align with Rogers strategic goals.
  • Provide SME knowledge and support of processes to business and operations teams
  • Driving Process and Tool improvements to optimize Rogers’ operations and cost efficiencies.
  • Develop solution standards for code, documentation and designs to ensure best in class solutions.
  • Lead and participate in teams to meet fast-paced deliverables with quality and efficiency.

What you need to have:

  • Minimum of 5 years of Data Warehouse experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of Informatica Developer & scripting experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of Azure Databricks & scripting experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years managing projects \ project delivery
  • Minimum of 1 year of Operations \ Production Support.
  • Minimum of 2 years managing employees
  • Proficient with SQL queries, query optimization and table design.
  • Ability to multi-task on multiple high priority projects \ deliverables.
  • Knowledge of Data Modeling.
  • Knowledge of Telecom Industry an asset.
  • Knowledge of PowerBI, Tableau, Alteryx an asset.
  • Proven passion for driving process improvements
  • Strong communication skills (Oral & Written)
