Who we're looking for:
The role of the Wireline Program Manager reports into the National Access Program Management Office (PMO). In this role, the PMO team works closely with key functional areas of the business (Network Implementation, Access & Core Technology, IT, Marketing, Finance, Procurement, Supply Chain, Customer Care, OSS, RB, Network Development, etc.) to oversee the impacts, interdependencies and timelines between functional teams; while working to ensure project initiatives meet the goals and objectives set forth by the senior and executive leadership teams.This group is responsible for delivering the overall Wireline Access Network capital plans on time and within budget.
The position is highly technical and managerially demanding and requires a balance of project management technical skills, highly developed analytical skills, proven managerial skills, and team interpersonal skills. You will lead individual work streams as assigned by your manager.
The Program Manager’s deliverables shall include, but not be limited to:
- Initiating Phase,Planning Phase,Executing Phase,Monitoring and Controlling Phase,Closing Phase.
The Program Manager is to balance and communicate the program constraints, which include but not limited to:
- Scope,Quality,Schedule,Budget,Resources,Risks.
What you'll do:
- Adhere to all Rogers Communications Canada Inc polices and procedures.
- Ensure that project initiatives meet leadership and/or customer expectations.
- Supervise other stakeholders and manages scope that is defined.
- Ensures the team works in a cohesive manner and removes roadblocks to ensure team moves forward.
- Provides end-to-end project management for highly complex projects with high impact and high visibility.
- Validate & challenge the budgetary estimates and actual.
- Ensures mitigation plan exists and validates course of action.
- Runs high level project meetings, and maintain issue log including description, ownership, and action plan, manages minutes and reporting.
- Maintains strong change management skills.
- Manages project close-out for a highly complex projects as phases are completed.
- Manages post implementation review and identifies lessons learned.
What you bring:
- 5+ years of relevant work experience.
- Advanced degree and / or Project Management Professional (PMP).
- Five or more years of cable / wireline / fibre industry experience.
- Experience in Accounting / Finance, Network, IT, Agile, Product Development, Strategic Planning or Marketing.
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally across various organizations and the ability to influence / manage to drive results.
- Experience with development and delivery of executive communication including advanced knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Knowledge and understanding of key business drivers, processes, and systems.
- Ability to work independently, efficiently, and effectively under extreme time constraints and deliver results by business-critical deadlines.
- Strong leadership abilities and documented management success record Proficiency in engaging and influencing large teams and functional leaders.
- Comfortable with collaborating with all levels in the organization, including VP and SVP
