Rogers has one of the largest fibre networks in Canada and is continuing to invest in expanding its network and performance leadership. As a Sr. Fibre Access Planner in the Network Planning & Development team, the successful candidate will have the exciting opportunity to lead the planning and budgeting for the National Unified Fibre Plan.



  • Collaborate with network and business leads to identify and evaluate fibre build requirements
  • Develop and maintain 1Y and 3Y plans and capital budgets that unifies the network and business needs and strategy
  • Develop Capital Authorization (CA) for the Unified Fibre Plan
  • Issue and maintain Program Specifications for the 1Y Unified Fibre Plan
  • Leverage existing fibre network assets, new technology and construction methods
  • Leverage fibre modeling and planning tools
  • Liaise with Regional Planning to validate and update fibre models
  • Provide direction and guidance to Regional Planning as needed
  • Collaborate with the Regional Planning, Delivery Managers and PMO to deliver on the Unified Fibre Plan objectives
  • Provide business support and reporting as required
  • Collaborate with the delivery team to identify and implement process improvements

Qualifications & Competencies:

  • Highly motivated with exceptional communication, analytical and methodical troubleshooting skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment, in an organized, methodical and pleasant manner. Ability to work from assigned objectives, relative priorities and critical areas that impinge on work of other units.
  • Strong understanding of planning, designing, and building PON networks and systems. Well versed on industry & Rogers standards, OPE, and construction methods
  • Education, experience should include undergraduate university degree, community college diploma with CET certification or equivalent experience
  • 8 years experience in planning and designing Fibre optic networks
  • Proven ability to lead and direct within department and provide direction and guidance to internal and external groups
  • Proven ability to operate autonomously, within general direction guidelines
  • Excel at providing executive summary and power point presentations
  • Customer-focused, results-oriented, and adaptive in a fast-paced environment
