Who we're looking for:
We’re seeking a strategic and hands-on professional to lead the evolution of our cloud-based data infrastructure. In this role, you’ll define and execute a forward-thinking DevOps strategy, champion automation and platform modernization, and guide a high-performing team through Agile delivery cycles.
You’ll collaborate across architecture, governance, and cybersecurity teams to ensure our platforms are scalable, secure, and optimized for performance. What you'll do:
Strategic Leadership
- Define and evolve the DevOps strategy for enterprise data platforms.
- Maintain and communicate a roadmap for platform capabilities and modernization.
Platform Engineering & Automation
- Lead implementation and optimization of CI/CD pipelines across Azure, Databricks, and Snowflake.
- Champion Infrastructure as Code (IaC), containerization, and automated deployment practices.
- Drive continuous improvements in platform reliability, scalability, and performance.
Team Management
- Manage a high-performing team of platform administrators and data engineers.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
Operational Excellence
- Oversee SRE activities including observability, cost optimization, and incident response.
- Ensure platform stability, compliance, and performance against defined KPIs.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with architecture, governance, cybersecurity, and DevOps teams to evaluate and implement new technologies.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure seamless operations and delivery.
Agile Delivery
- Lead Agile ceremonies and ensure DevOps practices align with Agile principles.
- Support sprint planning, backlog grooming, and iterative delivery of platform enhancements.
Technical Oversight
- Guide the implementation of data engineering solutions using ADF, PySpark, and other modern tools.
- Ensure robust integration of relational and NoSQL databases within the platform.
What you bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of experience in DevOps, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
Technical Expertise
- Proven experience with CI/CD tools and practices in cloud environments (Azure, Databricks, Snowflake).
- Strong understanding of DevOps processes, automation, and platform engineering principles.
- Hands-on experience with data engineering tools like ADF, PySpark, and orchestration frameworks.
Cloud & Certifications
- Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP); certifications are a plus.
Database Knowledge
- Familiarity with relational (SQL Server, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Cassandra) databases.
Agile & Collaboration
- Experience working in Agile environments and collaborating across cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Cloud certifications (e.g., Azure DevOps Engineer, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer).
- Experience with observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog).
- Exposure to data governance and security frameworks.
