Who We Are looking for:  

Operations Support Systems (OSS) is the department dedicated to key applications that enable our technology teams to actively plan, deploy & operate our networks. We are looking for developer in OSS Wireline Diagnostics, you will design and develop solutions to support our frontline teams diagnose customer issues and drive innovative designs on key technology components.  

 

What will you be doing?  

You will work in a fast-paced environment in a small, Agile team where you will collaborate with teams across the company to tackle complex technical challenges.  You will be listening to the customer to identify issues and build requirements.  You will be creating solutions help diagnose customer issues and better support our frontline teams.  

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain robust backend services using Spring Boot framework
  • Build responsive and interactive web applications using ReactJS
  • Create cross-platform mobile applications using React Native
  • Design and implement event-driven architectures using Apache Kafka
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy scalable solutions
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
  • Participate in code reviews and maintain high coding standards
  • Troubleshoot and debug applications to optimize performance
  • Work with RESTful APIs and integrate third-party services
  • Implement real-time data streaming and messaging solutions
  • Participate in agile development processes and sprint planning

 

 

What you Bring:

You are a strong communicator who can break down complex, technological explanations to layman’s terms.  You are ready to collaborate with the team to find an innovative solution to every problem you come across.  You are an awesome team player who has respect for everyone’s ideas.  You can commit to multiple projects at once with changing priorities and see it through to completion.  

Your technical skills include: 

  • Degree in computer science, software engineering or equivalent experience 
  • Strong Java, JavaScript, Bash skills with Python, React, UNIX shell scripts experience as a plus
  • Experience Spring boot development framework, Kubernetes, Azure Cloud implementation.
  • Experience with Maven, Jersey, Oracle DB is highly desired, Home Network/Docsis Knowledge is a bonus
  • Familiarity with Weblogic is an asset
  • Experience with version control (GitHub, Subversion, etc.)
  • Test-driven development
  • Relational database design and SQL
