Rogers is seeking a Sr. DevOps Engineer to support the Rogers for Business (R4B) Salesforce DevOps toolset. Reporting to the Sr. Manager DevOps at the Rogers Park Brampton Campus this individual will be working to design, build and evolve our DevOps tools & processes within an Agile environment. The successful candidate role will include working with both business and technical stakeholders to understand requirements, shape designs and guide evolution of the DevOps applications. The developer’s portfolio will include automated testing, continuous integration and continuous delivery systems. This position requires creativity and innovation, strong communication skills, and collaborate with various cross-functional teams across Rogers


What you will be doing...

  • Apply knowledge of cloud solutions and applications in a DevOps environment to support deployment of changes into production.
  • Identify functional and technical requirements based on interactions with the stakeholders and knowledge of the DevOps tools and processes.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and coordinate with the development team to streamline code deployment.
  • Implement automation tools and frameworks (CI/CD pipelines).
  • Track & Manage DevOps issues: mitigation plan, workaround and root cause on the issues
  • Support the Release management processes including deployment of changes from staging to production for bi-weekly, hotfix releases and ad-hoc changes.
  • Working closely with the Release and Scrum teams, including coordinating with the delivery, and QA teams to plan for upcoming release scope and deployment activities through the DevOps lifecycle.
  • Document detailed designs and diagrams for new tools, processes and automation flows including required testing and debugging based on the high-level designs and requirements.
  • Administer the DevOps tools and their environments.
  • Develop and administer different test suites covering unit, integration and functional testing
  • Triage and report on test suites executions in coordination with both the development and operations team members
  • Support troubleshooting in dev, staging and production environments
  • Actively participate in job related training

What you have...

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or Computer Engineering
  • 5+ years of DevOps including design and development of CI/CD experience in an agile/iterative delivery structure and is viewed as a subject matter expert
  • 2-5 years of prior experience in Salesforce and Technical Support with configurations and/or development.
  • Integration experience on using SOAP and REST API’s.
  • Demonstrated analysis, problem solving and troubleshooting expertise
  • Flexible schedule: willingness to work nights and weekends as needed
  • Comfortable interacting with all levels of management
  • Ability to multi-task and perform effectively.
