The Sr. Finance Manager in the Technology Finance team will oversee the business case / analytical needs of the Technology organization. Reporting to the Sr. Director, Technology Finance, the position will be responsible for:
• Leading a team in providing value-add financial analytics, financial and operational business cases, contract analysis and accounting support.
• Working with the Senior Leadership team within Technology Finance, Technology SLT, and Technology business partners.
• Providing high quality business analysis, business cases and contract analysis to support Technology in meeting their financial KPIs.
Key attributes that will lead to success include: excellent communication skills, the ability to adapt to a quickly changing environment while maintaining focus on the end goal, and an ability to build relationships with multiple constituents (Technology, Business Units, Planning, Controllers, Performance Management, Financial Operations teams, Financial Systems, Auditors, etc.).
What you'll do:
• Create and build strong business cases to support both CAPEX and OPEX projects within Technology
• Provide detailed contract analysis for new and existing contract renewals within Technology including accounting treatment guidance.
• Work closely with Technology SLT and business partners to develop a deep understanding of the inputs into each business case and/or contract analysis and support the Technology capital approval process
• Present results to stakeholders on a frequent and regular basis to keep stakeholders up to speed on results and roadblocks
• Prepare decks to present business cases summaries to SLT
• Build standard templates for entire Technology team to support their businesses with ad hoc business cases
• Provide Technology Directors with required analysis to support Technology business partners
• Special projects and provide ad hoc analysis and information requests as required
• Work cross-functionally to assist in business case development while ensuring that best practices of corporate standards and policies are complied with.
• Continually look to improve existing processes or establish new ones when appropriate
• Motivate, inspire and build a team of proven leaders to deliver best-in-class financial strategy and support to all internal and external partners
What you'll bring:
• Undergraduate or Graduate Degree in Business or a related discipline
• 10+ years of progressive experience in a finance/accounting environment
• A professional accounting designation (CGA/CA/CMA)
• Advanced skills in Excel
• Self-starter, highly motivated, detailed oriented and relentless in the pursuit of process improvement
• Very strong interpersonal and communication skills and a demonstrated history of engaging with senior leadership in both the Business and Finance
• Proven ability to build strong client relationships while being viewed as a trusted and fair source of analytics and support
• Excellent planning and organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects in a high-paced / performance driven environment
• Must be able to work in a cross-functional team environment
• Ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, consistently meeting deadlines with accurate and detailed results
