Rogers is seeking a Sr. Cyber Security Advisor for Cyber Strategic Partnerships, to support the Information & Cyber Security Unit (ICSU) Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) team.

This individual will be responsible for cyber security strategic partnerships, including establishing, managing, and implementing strategic initiatives related to the company’s key cyber partnerships.

The ideal candidate should have a program management mindset, be highly organized, understand full lifecycle delivery processes, be able to handle multiple priorities, and drive the delivery of high quality work on time, with attention to detail.

Reporting to the Sr. Manager of Cyber Security Strategic Partnerships & Reporting at the Rogers Brampton Campus, this individual will have the following responsibilities:


Typical Responsibilities: 


  • Strategic Partnerships – Build and grow strategic Cybersecurity partnerships in alignment with the strategy and roadmap. Drive and support the creation, review and delivery of content, initiatives and deliverables. Maintain ongoing, collaborative and mutually beneficial partnerships with internal and external partners.


  • Program Management – Act as both program manager and cyber security subject matter expert to drive and deliver multiple initiatives to support the roadmap, including projects, events, workshops and presentations. Effectively communicate on status and business-value outcome.


  • Relationship Management – Build and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders in alignment with the strategy and roadmap. Identify and connect new and existing initiatives between strategic partners and Rogers. Provide ongoing, collaborative support to internal and external partners.


  • Communications – Develop presentation and communication materials to support initiatives for internal/external events, engagements and briefings. Work collaboratively with teams to effectively develop content that communicates data-driven value and key messages to support senior leadership decisions or drive positive outcome. Support the annual update of cyber security related content for ESG.


Required Experience


  • Undergraduate degree in Information Technology, Business Management, Communications, or related field
  • Project Management certification or experience with establishing strategic partnerships is an asset
  • 2+ years of broad cyber security experience with a focus on strategic planning.
  • 5+ years of relationship management, project management, or consulting experience.
  • Previous experience in the telecommunications industry is an asset.
  • Worked in Agile delivery teams and environment.
  • Experience with strengths in the following key areas are an asset:


Required Technical Skills:


  • CISSP, CISA or similar certification are preferred
  • Excellent initiative, analytical, and critical thinking skills
  • Strong written and communication skills are required
  • Demonstrable understanding of how to network and develop working relationships with various key stakeholders
  • Strong business and technical acumen
  • Communicates effectively with meaningful and articulate verbal discussions. Creates clear and coherent written material. Synthesizes information into succinct, concise and logical summaries and reports.
  • Ability to manage teams and work with stakeholders to achieve goals and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Works well under pressure and time constraints and can prioritize competing priorities appropriately.
  • Can work independently with minimal supervision and direction.
  • Proven record of accomplishment as a team player and business partner.
  • Project management experience, the ability to plan, manage and maintain a complex organization wide program over the long term.
