Who we're looking for:

Rogers is seeking a Sr. Cyber Security Lead to join the Cybersecurity Architecture team, responsible for ensuring compliance with regulatory, governmental, and industry security standards across Rogers’ service and enterprise networks. These networks support critical infrastructure delivering High-Speed Internet, IPTV, Digital TV, Wireless & Wireline Services, and Enterprise offerings.

 

Reporting to the Director, Cyber Capability and Telecom at the Rogers Brampton Campus, this role will lead the development and governance of Identity & Access Management (IAM) architecture while contributing to broader cybersecurity initiatives across cloud, data, network, and emerging technologies.


What you'll do:

  • Develop and maintain the enterprise IAM security strategy and multi-year roadmap aligned with business priorities and regulatory requirements.
  • Design and govern IAM security architecture across cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments.
  • Create reusable security patterns and reference architectures for integration into solution design.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives to embed security controls into infrastructure, applications, and emerging technologies.
  • Evaluate and support implementation of IAM capabilities including Tier-0 access, PAM, PIM, cloud IAM, federation, SSO, MFA, and identity governance.
  • Apply Zero Trust principles to architecture, access control, segmentation, and network security strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Controls, PCI DSS, OSFI, and SOC 2. security
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, vendors, and regulatory bodies to advance cybersecurity maturity.
  • Participate in architecture reviews, penetration testing coordination, and red/blue team exercises.
  • Monitor emerging threats, technologies, and regulatory changes to continuously improve Rogers cybersecurity posture.
  • Liaise with suppliers and internal technology, engineering, and operations teams to identify vulnerabilities and develop mitigation plans.
  • Contribute to security initiatives in cloud-native environments, data protection, AI/ML-driven threat detection, and network segmentation.
  • Communicate security risks effectively to technical teams and senior leadership to support informed decision-making.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to IAM engineers, cybersecurity architects, and security operations teams.

 

What you bring:

  • Undergraduate degree in Engineering or equivalent; advanced degree or certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CCSP, GIAC) strongly preferred.
  • 5+ years of cybersecurity experience in complex, multi-disciplinary environments.
  • Deep expertise in IAM domains including Tier-0 access, PAM/PIM, cloud IAM, federation, SSO, MFA, and identity governance.
  • Strong understanding of Zero Trust frameworks and their application to identity, network, and data security.
  • Experience with IAM platforms such as Azure AD, SailPoint, and CyberArk.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence enterprise architecture decisions.
  • Experience across multiple security domains including API security, cloud-native security, data protection, and AI/ML-driven threat detection.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for executive and non-technical audiences.
