Who we are looking for:


Rogers is seeking a Sr. Enterprise Technical Architect to lead the architecture and engineering design activities for infrastructure solutions, focused primarily on Private Cloud. The Sr. EA Solutions Architect will work closely with the extended Platform Engineering department and Enterprise Architecture discipline to ensure customer requirements are fully captured, thorough discovery processes completed, and comprehensive and supportable solution designs are created for complex and non-standard customer opportunities. This role will play a key role in supporting the solution implementation and the transition to Technical Support and Operations, interfacing and negotiating with many different Rogers teams as needed.


 
What you will be doing:

  • Act as a technical SME in executing deep-dive platform discovery of customer environments
  • Act as technical authority in creating comprehensive solution designs for on-premise virtualized computational systems (Storage, Compute, Database, Network   and SDM) and multi-product integration
  • Create solution documentation and provide guidance and support to delivery teams
  • Act as technical SME in influencing new technology design or enhancement
  • Seek to evolve; develop new approaches and concepts within area of expertise
  • Act as part of an overall project team over the course of a customer engagement
  • Assess new early-stage technology evolution opportunities, partner with EA in building technology Standards, Roadmaps, ABB and SBB artefacts.
  • Participate as part of Costing, RFI, RFQ and RFP cycles and contribute to contractual engagement documentation where required.
     

What you bring:

  • 10+ years’ experience in a technology architecture role
  • 5+ years’ experience in Senior advisory (Architecture) role with exposure to large and complex environments
  • Experience in designing, deploying, and maintaining complex IT architectures
  • Expertise in Private Cloud implementations
  • Extensive Experience with Storage, Compute, DB and Network virtualization technologies.
  • Extensive Experience with Multi-site, Geo-diversity and Geo-HA implementations, multi-vendor integration and complex transformations
  • Experience in a customer-facing delivery role
  • Experience with providing designs based on containerization and systems/applications based on microservices
  • Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent experience required
  • Certification in systems virtualization, cloud design and management are desired
  • Other industry recognized certifications nice to have (ITIL, TOGAF, CISSP, etc)
  • Technical leadership: ability to act as a subject-matter expert and provide guidance to partner teams expected from a Trusted Advisor.
