Who we're looking for:
Reporting to the Director, Security Architecture at the Rogers Brampton Campus, this role will focus on leading the Security Architecture team, coaching architects, and driving the development of security roadmaps, patterns, and best practices.
The Senior Manager will ensure delivery of enterprise security initiatives, foster cross-functional collaboration, and strengthen Rogers’ overall security posture across IAM, Network, Telecom Service, IT, AI-driven security domains, and modern security paradigms such as Defense in Depth and Zero Trust.
What you’ll do:
- Coach and mentor security architects, fostering professional growth and ensuring alignment with enterprise security strategy.
- Lead the development of security roadmaps, patterns, and best practices, ensuring consistency and scalability across the organization.
- Drive delivery of security initiative programs, ensuring milestones are met and risks are managed effectively.
- Collaborate across architecture teams (network, IT, cloud, application, and data) to embed security into enterprise designs and solutions.
- Engage stakeholders and executives to communicate security strategies, risks, and program progress in clear, actionable terms.
- Ensure compliance with leading cybersecurity frameworks and standards, such as ISO 27001, NIST CSF, PCI‑DSS, CIS Controls, and GSMA Security Guidelines.
- Oversee IAM, network, IT, and AI security architecture, ensuring secure design and integration across platforms and services.
- Champion Defense in Depth and Zero Trust principles, embedding layered security and continuous verification into enterprise architecture.
- Integrate AI-driven security capabilities (e.g., anomaly detection, predictive analytics, automated threat response) into enterprise security programs.
- Stay current with emerging technologies apply industry best practices to strengthen Rogers’ telecom security posture.
- Champion a culture of security-first design, operational excellence, and innovation across the architecture community.
What you bring:
- Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Security, or equivalent; advanced degree or certifications strongly preferred.
- CISSP certification preferred; TOGAF, SABSA, CCSP, or AI/ML security certifications are an asset.
- 8+ years of experience in security architecture, with at least 3+ years in a leadership or management role.
- Proven expertise in IAM, Network, Telecom Service, IT infrastructure security, and exposure to AI/ML security applications.
- Experience developing and delivering security roadmaps, patterns, and frameworks at scale.
- Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid telecom environments.
- Familiarity with SIEM/XDR platforms and their integration with enterprise security architecture.
- Understanding of governance, risk, and compliance frameworks, with ability to translate them into technical solutions.
- Experience with AI-driven analytics, anomaly detection, and automation workflows to enhance security operations.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with ability to influence executives and cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage programs, and deliver complex security initiatives on time and within scope.
