We’re looking for a Senior Manager, Competitive Insights & Benchmarking who brings together deep telecommunications expertise, advanced analytics leadership, and strong business acumen. You are a strategic, people‑centric leader who can turn complex network and customer data into clear, actionable insights that drive competitive advantage, network performance, and customer experience.

You excel at bridging the gap between data science, network engineering, and executive decision‑making, and are equally comfortable setting long‑term analytics strategy as you are delivering near‑term business impact. You thrive in fast‑paced, Agile environments and are motivated by building high‑performing teams and scalable analytics capabilities.

 

What You Bring:

 

1.Leadership & Strategic Vision 

  • Bridge-Building & Communication: Proven ability to translate complex statistical concepts and model outputs into actionable business strategies for various stakeholders (e.g., Network Engineering, Marketing, and Executive Leadership). 

 

  • Agile Project Management: Proficiency in leading data teams through Agile/Scrum workflows, managing backlogs, and prioritizing high-impact use cases that align with organizational KPIs. 

 

  • Talent Development: Strong track record in recruiting, mentoring, and retaining top-tier data talent, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence. 

 

2.Telecommunications Domain Expertise (Wireless & Wireline) 

 

  • Network Architecture Knowledge: Deep understanding of telecom network topologies, including 5G/LTE/RAN for wireless and FTTH/GPON/DOCSIS for wireline. 

 

  • Telecom Data Fluency: Experience working with high-volume, high-velocity telecom data sources, such as Call Detail Records (CDRs), Network Probe Data, Signaling Data (SS7/Diameter), and Customer Premises Equipment (CPE) telemetry. 

 

  • KPI Familiarity: Excellent understanding of critical industry metrics including Churn, ARPU (Average Revenue Per User), NPS, Latency, Jitter, Packet Loss. 

 

3. Data Science & Technical Proficiency 

 

  • Machine Learning: Working-level knowledge of predictive and prescriptive modeling techniques and familiarity with Deep Learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch). 

 

  • Big Data Ecosystems: Hands-on proficiency with distributed computing and data engineering tools essential for telecom and Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP). 

 

  • MLOps & Deployment: Competency in the full model lifecycle, utilizing tools like Docker, Kubernetes, and MLflow to ensure models are scalable, reproducible, and monitorable in production environments. 

 

Accountabilities 

 

1. Strategic Team Leadership & Delivery 

 

  • Lead a high-performing team, providing leadership guidance and career coaching to ensure consistent delivery of high-quality reports. 

 

  • Define team roadmap by identifying opportunities where AI/ML can drive significant ROI, specifically balancing "quick wins" with long-term strategic projects. 

 

  • Champion a data-driven culture across the organization, advocating for the adoption of data products in network. 

 

2. Wireless & Wireline Network Optimization 

 

  • Drive the development of predictive maintenance models to anticipate failures before they impact customers, reducing customer impacts hours.  

 

  • Drive optimization of our wireless/wireline networks with accountable stakeholders based on predicted usage. 

 

  • Oversee real-time anomaly detection initiatives to identify network impairments and work towards self-healing network capabilities. 

 

3. Advanced Analytics & Commercial Application 

 

  • Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of models, integrating network experience data (dropped calls, slow speeds) to improve the customer experience 

 

  • Ensure rigorous data governance and ethical AI practices, maintaining compliance with telecommunications regulations. 

 

  • Collaborate with the Network Engineering teams to analyze traffic patterns and utilization, using time-series forecasting to predict bandwidth capacity requirements. 

 

 

What You Bring:

 

Qualifications 

 

Education & Experience 

 

  • Education: Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or a related quantitative field. A background in Telecommunications Engineering is highly preferred. 

 

  • Professional Experience: Minimum of 7+ years in telecommunication engineering/operations environment, with at least 3+ years in a people management or technical lead capacity. 

 

  • Industry Background: Proven experience working within the Telecommunications sector with large-scale network data (OSS/BSS systems). 

 

 

Technical Skills (Hard Skills) :

 

  • Programming & Scripting: Proficiency in Python and SQL 

 

  • Cloud & Big Data: Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Azure) and big data processing frameworks (Apache Spark, Databricks, Hadoop). 

 

  • Visualization: Ability to guide teams in creating executive-level dashboards using tools like Tableau, PowerBI, or Grafana. 

 

 

Leadership & Soft Skills :

 

  • Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill complex technical results into clear business cases for executive leadership. 

 

  • Project Management: Experience delivering projects using Agile/Scrum methodologies. 

 

  • Stakeholder Management: Demonstrated ability to negotiate requirements and manage expectations with cross-functional partners in Network Engineering, IT, and Marketing.
