Rogers Tech Hub is seeking an extraordinarily skilled Senior DevSecOps Engineer to join the Tech Hub Core Platform team.  Reporting to the Senior Manager of Core Platforms at the Rogers Park Brampton Campus, this individual will be responsible for the build, implementation and support of modern integration platforms.   The engineer will also participate in the architectural design of solutions, through to production deployment, and continuously improve the technical environments.

 

What you will be doing…

  • Provide hands-on technical solutions to Tech Hub for platform scalability, efficiency, security, reliability, stability.
  • Work with delivery teams to implement platform solutions per project requirements.
  • Work with Core Development team to design, execute, and troubleshoot scenarios and test cases.
  • Work with Core Tools team to design, automate and implement CI/CD pipelines.
  • Provide hands-on implementation and support of platforms hosting APIs created by the development teams.
  • Implement Health Monitoring, Alerting and Log Analytics to ensure 24x7 availability of the Production environment.
  • Perform releases, deployments, validation, tuning and patching activities for specific scheduled changes.
  • Perform Problem determination, root cause analysis, and drive resolution of technical issues.
  • Improve site reliability by introducing, planning, and exercising environment stability exercises.
  • Ensure compliance of the platforms to Rogers security standards, work with the Rogers security team to proactively identify and mitigate vulnerabilities.
  • Participate in disaster recovery planning and execution.
  • Adhere to Rogers processes including Change Management, Release Management, Problem Management.
  • Participate in rotation for on call after hour support when needed during critical periods.

 

For a senior applicant…

  • Leads solution design, creates high-level architecture and design documents.
  • Designs and implements solutions and practices to improve efficiency including automation and proactive alerting.
  • Conducts environment and platform reviews and coaches the team on architectural solutions and best practices.
  • Proactively provides objective feedback to consultants and delivery partners to ensure proper execution of projects.

 

What you have…

  • Minimum 6 years hands-on experience with modern integration technologies.
  • Excellent Linux and Kubernetes skills.
  • Experience with platforms AKS/EKS, Kafka, Spark, MuleSoft.
  • Experience with monitoring and Log Analytics tools such as ELK stack, Grafana, Datadog.
  • Experience with CI/CD automation tools such as Urban Code, Jenkins, Terraform, GitHub.
  • Experience with securing platforms, such as certificate management, API management, TLS, SASL, Kerberos.
  • Knowledge of networking elements such as Network Load Balancer and Firewall.
  • Experience with incident, change and problem management process per Agile and ITIL frameworks.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Undergraduate degree and dedication to continuous learning.
