Rogers is seeking an Oracle Ebiz Application and Middleware Support Analyst to resolve application and middleware issues raised by our internal customers. Reporting to the Manager of Financial Systems at the Rogers Park Brampton Campus, you will support our internal customers some of which are technical and others who are non-technical.
 
Our job is vital to Rogers, being able to fulfill customer requests for cell phones, cable boxes and accessories. Also, this system is the financial reporting/repository for Rogers. We are an extremely complex technical environment with interfaces to over 180 applications within Rogers. Great way to meet more people! We have two main services; Oracle Ebiz Application and our Oracle Ebiz Middleware. Our weblogic consists of ODI, OSB and SOA both Batch jobs and Realtime. Our Operating Service document is about 200+ pages. 
 
What you will be doing:

  • Proactive monitoring and on call support rotation
  • Provide solutions on Incident calls with our internal customers.
  • Deal with complex issues related to vendor, internal applications, network and other external vendors.
  • Follow ITIL Standards for Incident, Problem and Change Management.
  • Perform Ticket management.
  • Support our internal customers and help them provide top tier service to our external customers.
  • In this role you will never stop learning. There is a strong team that will support you and you need to support them.

  • Oracle Weblogic: OSB, ODI & SOA
  • XML
  • JMS 
  • J2EE 
  • Oracle Database 
  • Java Application Programming Interfaces (API’s)  
  • Ability to troubleshoot application issues under pressure
  • Ability to read and interpret programming languages at a code level  
  • Able to multi-task and manage multiple technical issues reported by customers 
  • Provide customer and systems support of ODI, OSB, SOA suite software and systems. 
  • Interact with customers, partners, and software developers to provide technical advice and assistance  
  • Clearly document application errors and actions taken in the debugging steps to the resolution of the problem 
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills in all areas above 
  • Ability to learn new technologies quickly 
  • Must be a team player
  • Strong inter-personal and organizational skills
  • Excellent written and oral communications.
  • A hands-on self-starter who is comfortable in a technical environment.
  • Ability to work effectively and independently on multiple simultaneous tasks within a fast paced high tech customer service oriented environment.
  • Demonstrate strong troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving skills 
  • University degree in business, computer science or equivalent
