The Payment and Credit Decisioning team is at the center of all payment and credit decision related activity at Rogers and our applications are mission critical.  We are looking for a conscientious, meticulous technical lead to participate in our transformation and modernization of our applications with the latest technologies. What you can expect from this role?

 

As a Technical Delivery Lead, you will:

  • Provide technical leadership in the overall design, development, implementation, operation, maintenance, and enhancement of applications and projects
  • Prepare high level and detailed design specifications for projects in accordance with SDLC, security and architecture documentation objectives.
  • Review and contribute to user requirements and design and develop highly efficient code for high-volume, mission-critical systems
  • Work closely with members of the development and QA teams to review requirements and implement solutions.
  • Design and develop automation via Infrastructure as Code primarily in Azure Cloud
  • Design, develop and implement micro services in Azure and/or AWS via CICD Pipelines
  • Design, develop Java Applications in various Java Versions and Environments.
  • Ensure optimal performance, reliability, availability, and security
  • Participate in cost optimization
  • Work with Development Manager, other teammates, vendors (internal and external) and other IT teams to design and implement projects.
  • Improve product quality through code reviews, writing effective unit tests, and collaborating with QA to implement automation testing where appropriate.

 

Preferred Experience:

  • Minimum 5-8 years of experience developing enterprise applications in Java.
  • Hands on experience with projects on Spring Boot, Java 1.8., Java 11, weblogic 12c or higher(This is an absolute must have.)
  • Experience with Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Spring Data, Spring Security , streaming platforms like Apache Kafka, Apache Spark
  • Experience designing, developing, securing and consuming Web services (Restful and SOAP-based services).
  • Experience working with Microservices architecture, Cloud Deployment, Agile development, CICD, API/ Microservices Design understanding, loyalty or payments ecosystem understanding.
  • Confident OOP
  • Knowledge of API security patterns: OAuth, SSL/TLS
  • Experience with relational and non relational databases (MSSQL, ORACLE, Cosmos, postgreSQL etc.)
  • Experience with caching mechanisms (Redis)
  • Proficient understanding of SCM tools and best practices (GIT, Maven, Gradle, Jenkins).
  • Experience with Jira
  • Proven Leadership Qualities.
  • Have an analytical mindset and possess strong troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with both Technical and Non Technical audiences.

 

Education

  • Must has degree in Computer Science, or equivalent
