We are looking for a Technical Delivery Lead, to build and manage the platform for a new BSS technology stack. Reporting to the Sr. Development Manager of Prepaid Technology at the Rogers Park Brampton Campus, you will work with both business and technical stakeholders to understand requirements in the prepaid BSS (Billing support systems) domain, lead and guide the team to develop technical solutions for our partners. This position requires creativity and innovation, strong communication skills, and collaborate with various cross-functional teams across Rogers.

 

As a Technical Delivery Lead, you will:

  • Solution, Design and works collaboratively with Solution Architects and cross functional agile and non agile teams to ensure HLD and Detail Designs are aligned with Requirements/User Stories.
  • Ensure Detailed Solution is documented and reviewed within the team and cross functional teams and stakeholders on add-hoc basis.
  • Ensure Solutions and Processes are auditable and compliant with Organization Security Policy.
  • Lead the Integration as agreed within the cross-functional Tech Lead Forum and proactively raise topics for improvements.
  • Lead the development team and be first point of contact for Configuration and Solution within the scope of the application.
  • Support production and non-production environments with collaboration with NPE and support team.
  • Monitor performance to improve team effectiveness and identifies areas of improvement and plan for additional training.
  • Design, Development and maintenance of complex integrations among different vendor and inhouse solutions.
  • Promotes quality, innovation, teamwork, and timely communication of issues / opportunities.
  • Builds trusted relationships throughout IT organization and Business to enable delivery of business requirements.

 

What you have

  • 5+ years of Development experience and 2+ years as Technical Lead or Delivery Manager.
  • Hands on experience with Java, Spring boot, Linux/UNIX, SQL, etc.
  • Basic knowledge of Cloud systems and Cloud deployment, Web services, Kubernetes and container frameworks, etc.
  • Good understanding of microservices architecture, CI/CD and API (Restful and SOAP-based services).
  • Proficient with Agile development management tools (JIRA, and Confluence preferred).
  • End-to-end solution delivery experience of an entire development cycle from concept to deployment and monitoring of applications, procurement engagement and vendor management
  • Be flexible to understand and balance timelines, technical challenges with legacy data and constraints.
  • Creates clear and coherent written materials.
  • Effective communicator both oral and written, with the ability to frame technology issues in business terms
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment with aptitude for achieving results.
  • Ability to work independently to meet project requirements.
  • Deep technical expertise and strong problem-solving and data analysis skills
  • Telecom industry experience is preferred
  • Experience working with outsourced and offshore teams

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
