Technical Delivery Manager

Who we're looking for:
We are seeking a Technical Delivery Manager reporting to the Sr. Director of the Residential Channels Technology team. The Channels team serves our Digital/Web and our Care, Retail and Field sales agents. The candidate who fills this role will help to shape, build, release, and improve our processes that will help to empower and deliver capabilities throughout the organization.  We are looking for a strong individual who can help to build, improve, and evolve existing processes ranging from enablement to deployment.

 

What you will be doing:

  • Oversee the technical delivery of the solution/delivery teams, with a key focus on the implementation, and supervision of a successful delivery from non-production to production environments
  • Organize related changes across projects/teams for implementation, with a key focus on identifying and removing blockers across multiple active cycles
  • Focus on implementing new and/or evolve workflow processes and procedures
  • Create mechanisms to report on and control execution of multi-project cycles which will help create predicable delivery paths for large programs/projects
  • Point of contact for the team on providing status/data about delivery and implementation
  • Work with team/stakeholders on evolving the technology landscape to streamline and address weaknesses in design (scalability, latency, security, etc.)
  • Contribute and review metrics with a focus on proactively looking for improvement opportunities based on the data which will translate to more efficient processes for stakeholders within the team and externally
  • Develop impact assessments across multiple portfolios and their respective delivery schedules.  Perform risk assessments and manage the operational process and mitigate/remove roadblocks
  • Request, assess and implement change requests for delivery teams
  • Lead reviews with leadership members to track current projects and manage escalations

 

What You Need to Succeed:

  • Experience in managing/coordinating technical & non-technical teams    
  • Expertise in Agile practices and delivery model (SAFe, Scrum and Kanban)
  • Experience with on-prem and Cloud deployment and their respective infrastructures
  • Experience in acting as an integrator of solutions
  • Experience in working with distributed teams situated locally or globally in different geographic locations
  • Experience performing optimization, continuous improvement, continuous integration & cost-savings
  • Results-oriented team player who leads by example, holding themselves accountable for performance
  • Experience in being able to communicate a status/goal/outcomes across portfolios
  • In depth knowledge DevOps practices
  • Deep understanding of software development life cycles
  • Expertise in Agile principles and experience in participating in Scrum events such as daily stand-up meetings, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and sprint retrospectives


What you will bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related work experience
  • 5+ years of experience in delivery of Enterprise grade applications
  • Experience with change management
  • Enterprise stakeholder management experience   
  • Proven track record of managing all aspects of a successful product lifecycle with delivery in Agile & traditional methodologies
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and using tools like Jira, Confluence, and product analytics platforms
  • Strong analytical and problem solving experience
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills
  • Ability to think strategically while maintaining attention to detail
  • Strong leadership ability and proven track record as a project manager/lead in delivering a project from beginning to the end
