Technology PMO Project Coordinator

Who We’re looking for: 

Rogers Technology PMO is the backbone of our project management efforts, ensuring that our technology initiatives align with business goals and are delivered on time and within budget.

 

The Project Coordinator for the Rogers Technology Project Management Office (PMO) will play a critical role in supporting the successful delivery of technology projects. The ideal candidate will have exceptional organizational skills, mindfulness, and the ability to work collaboratively in a challenging environment. This role requires an initiative-taking individual who can manage multiple tasks simultaneously and ensure that project milestones are met on time and within budget.

 

What you’ll do:

  • Actively collaborate with Vendors to ensure professional services deliverables meet overall Program/Project requirements
  • Technology Capital Investment Program Budget consolidation, analysis, reporting and communication
  • Compile and communicate Project/Program Status reports and decks to stakeholders
  • Monitor and track the project milestones to accurately reflect project status
  • Function as interface towards Operations groups and quantify availability of resources to accommodate Project/Program scheduled activities

 

Project Planning,Scheduling, and Reporting

  • Aid in the development and maintenance of project plans, schedules, and budgets.
  • Coordinate project kick-off meetings, status updates, and close-out meetings.
  • Ensure project documentation is complete, current, and stored appropriately.
  • Manage multiple projects/tasks in a rapidly changing environment and interface effectively with internal/external groups to meet committed delivery dates and service levels.
  • Project compliance reporting 

 

Communication and Coordination

  • Function as a liaison between PCO, Portfolio managers, project teams, stakeholders, and other departments.
  • Prepare and distribute project status reports, meeting minutes, and other project-related communications.
  • Help Facilitate communication and collaboration among project team members.
  • Coordinate the administrative tasks associated with the implementation of Technology activities/ initiatives.

 

Resource Management Support

  • Help in the onboarding of project resources, including personnel, equipment, materials, and training.
  • Track project resource usage and report any discrepancies to the Project Control Office and Project Manager.
  • Risk and Issue Management
  • Find potential project risks and issues and escalate them to the Project Manager.
  • Aid in the development and implementation of risk mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor and track risks, issues, progress, action, decisions and manage project/portfolio and activities completion.

 

Quality Assurance

  • Track that project deliverables meet quality standards and customer expectations.
  • Aid in the implementation of quality control processes and procedures.
  • Conduct project audits to ensure compliance with PMO standards and best practices.
  • Track key metrics and KPIs.

 

What you bring:

  • Previous experience in project coordination or a related role.
  • Experience in the technology or telecommunications industry is preferred.
  • Vendor management experience which includes Purchase order management.
  • Financial background and a financial Management Designation is an asset
  • Ability in project management software and tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, JIRA, Confluence, Proficient in Excel).
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Diligence and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • This position is based in our Brampton office.
  • Standard office hours, with occasional overtime to meet project deadlines.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent is an asset.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Computer Science, or a related field is an asset.

This is a hybrid work position and will require you to be in office three days per week. You can choose which days in office work best for you!
