Rogers is seeking a Manager, Program Delivery, to join our team within our IT department (public and private cloud, Operational Support Systems and Service Management), reporting to the Sr. Director of Portfolio Management & Program Delivery. We are looking for a high achieving individual to lead a team of project focused team members to the successful delivery of key strategic programs, with a focus on business outcomes.
The primary focus of this position is to manage the planning and execution of a range of IT Programs and Projects while building a cohesive delivery team. You will ensure that stakeholders are always well informed of project status and issues and proactively work to resolve risks.
What you will be doing:
- Manage the Implementation Planning, Execution and Closure of Technology Programs/Projects dealing with the introduction of new products, services & capabilities
- Identify & govern overall scope, deliverables, and interdependencies to deliver on the objectives and KPIs.
- Define Program Communication plan to ensure all stakeholders and project resources are aligned to program level goals and objectives; build appropriate materials and lead sessions with various levels of leadership to inform and drive conclusions related to progress, blockers, project financials, issues, risks, and containment plans.
- Build relationships with stakeholders, collaborate on the plans and deliverables while managing expectations.
- Lead and mentor a team of project managers, coordinators, and analysts to achieve overall business objectives and targets; set annual performance targets for individuals and the team, set development plans and conduct performance reviews
- Identify obstacles and conflicts and ensure the project team produces workable solutions, escalating issues as appropriate to keep the program schedules on track.
- Manage relationships with third party system integrators and vendors assisting with delivery and govern all activities related to Roger’s acceptance of deliverables. Collaborate with vendors, establish integrated plans and ensure all deliverables are on time.
- Adhere to the Rogers delivery methodology and practices, and lead Lessons Learnt sessions to drive continuous improvement to progress delivery effectiveness.
- Collaborate with Procurement to oversee the tendering and awarding of system integrator/ vendor statements of work as required.
What you bring:
- 8+ years of experience managing large, complex technical projects related to IT application & system lifecycle management (preferably in the Telecommunications industry)
- Experience establishing program governance, managing all levels of stakeholders, leading people and supporting OCM activities.
- PMP Certified professional that is well versed in Project Management methodologies & concepts and having a minimum of 3 years of experience in a Program Management or leadership capacity.
- In-depth knowledge and experience in Service Management and working with ServiceNow is an asset
- Proven experience managing vendor partners, third party solution implementations and contractor resourcing
- Ability to succeed in challenging and ambiguous situations and thrive in a fast paced and changing environment while maintaining program momentum
- Possess strong negotiation, influencing, relationship management, communication, and Business writing skills.
- Strategic thinker who can make decisions and plan, develop, and implement innovative solutions even with limited information.
- A highly motivated, collaborative individual with strong leadership, organizational, multitasking, troubleshooting and conflict resolution skills.
- Proficient in the use of Project Management and MS tools
- Post-Secondary degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or other related technical discipline.

This is a hybrid work position and will require you to be in office three days per week. You can choose which days in office work best for you!
