Product Manager

As Product Manager you will be part of the Rogers Business Wireline Product Development and Management team. This position will be responsible for managing the development and lifecycle of wireline products with a focus on Business TV across all segments including SMB, Enterprise and Hospitality. We are seeking a passionate product management professional skilled in simplifying business solutions for sales, internal partners, and customers. Expertise in solution selling, marketing, and product positioning is essential.

The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in product management, marketing, technology, project management, new product introduction, and sales enablement; with a broad understanding of the Telecom industry—particularly TV and Internet solutions—and knowledge of key providers. They will be responsible for inspiring cross-functional teams and executives to embrace the product roadmap and drive the product portfolio forward.

 

 What You'll be doing: 

  • Product Strategy and Roadmap

    • Develop the product strategy, including target segments/regions, positioning, pricing and sales forecast.

    • Specify market requirements for current and future products by conducting market research supported by on-going visits to customers and non-customers.

    • Develop the roadmap and evolution of the product.

    • Stay informed of the latest market, customer and technology trends to adapt/evolve the solution accordingly.

    • Gain strategic alignment with other Rogers teams that are working on similar or complementary solutions.

  • Product Management

    • Along with Rogers network and IT teams, evaluate, select and negotiate contract with the right technology partners that will provide and/or integrate the solution components.

    • Manage co-innovation engagements

    • Manage lifecycle of products

  • Operational readiness

    • Develop sales training materials, including product deck, battle card, etc.

    • Provide or oversee solution training for the sales force.

    • Provide or oversee technical training for the Technical Support team.

    • Ensure customer billing systems are in place to support this solution.

  • Sales support

    • Collaborate with sales channels to achieve revenue targets, manage margins, and enable product delivery.

    • Act as point of first reference for all product related enquiries

  • Sales enablement

    • Actively participate in training activities. Responsible for providing the sales team with the necessary technical expertise to enable them to sell the product

  • Marketing support

    • Provide direction and support to Product Marketing on product positioning, pricing, and features.

    • Work with Product Marketing to develop and ensure a successful execution of the product launch plan and ongoing marketing plan.

What You'll Bring:

Preference will be given to the candidate who can demonstrate most or all of the following:

  • Experience in product management, product development and/or new product introduction.

  • 2+ years of experience enterprise-grade internet platforms and solutions.

  • Wireline Product knowledge

  • TV product knowledge

  • Entrepreneurial spirit to drive passionate ownership and responsibility for the business.

  • Self-motivated, with strong organizational & interpersonal skills including the ability to plan, organize and prioritize multiple duties and responsibilities simultaneously, and to reach out to and collaborate with other teams within the broader Rogers organization.

  • Must be able to tell “story” behind data and present to all levels of the organization

  • Experience in the development of business plans including business cases, cost/benefit analysis, revenue potential, pricing models, forecasts, and contracts.

  • Excellent writing, communication and presentation development and delivery skills.

This is a hybrid work position and will require you to be in office three days per week. You can choose which days in office work best for you!
