Rogers for Business is seeking a Solutions Specialist for Data Centre, Cloud and Networking Solutions responsible for medium, large, and public sector business clients. Working collaboratively with Rogers for Business direct sales teams within the Alberta and Mid-West region. The candidate will report to the Senior Manager, Solution Sales and will be an integral part of a technical sales solution team responsible for gathering customer business and technical requirements, designing comprehensive Data Centre, Cloud and Wireline solutions, delivering sales presentations, presenting technical information about products and services, conducting product demonstrations, product evaluations, and collaborating on RFP and RFI responses.
The candidate must have a strong understanding and experience of Data Center, Cloud and Networking solutions including; Colocation, Virtual Private Cloud/Public Cloud, Managed Hosting, Managed Server, Managed Storage, Backup, Disaster Recovery (DRAAS) and Network Access as well as Data Center Outsourcing and Managed IT Services.
Responsibilities:
- Build valuable, consultative customer relationships in tandem with the Account Executives and Rogers for Business customers
- Engage with Account Managers and the broader organization including Product, Solution Architects and Operations teams to drive opportunities in your assigned territory to meet or exceed your targets
- Work closely with the Account Executive and the customer, preparing compelling business cases, internal and customer facing customer proposals, presentations, Scope of Work, quotations, and skilled in negotiating customer contracts
- Provide insights and thought leadership to ROGERS prospects and customers, at all levels, and across lines of business, on mutually beneficial business opportunities across the Rogers for Business solution portfolio
- Committed to maintaining a high level of knowledge and expertise in the Data Center, Cloud, Networking solutions, and competitive insights in the IT Services industry
- Advocate for product and service development opportunities as well as operational improvements garnered from customer insights
Required Skills:
- Strong Business Acumen
- Technology Architecture: Expert understanding of one or more of the following: Data Center/Cloud/Networking solutions, IT Standards and Wireline Networking
- Technical leadership: Experience leading diverse teams in the planning and/or delivery of IT projects and solutions
- Financial sales skills – understanding and developing a winning customer business case.
- Exceptional communication skills. Comfort in public speaking
- Quick to establish rapport with clients and internal stakeholders
- Ability to understand and navigate complex buying decisions with strong negotiation skills
- A successful candidate must have previous experience using Microsoft Office business tools (Visio, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel) as well as SalesForce
Required Experience:
- 5 years B2B technical sales of Cloud, Colocation, Networking or IT Services
