Who You Are
You are a highly organized and solutions-focused professional with experience managing civil infrastructure projects in a telecommunications or related environment. You thrive in a field-based role, balancing contractor management, project execution, stakeholder relationships, and safety compliance while delivering cost-effective solutions that support network reliability.
What You'll Do
- Manage the investigation, planning, and resolution of civil infrastructure deficiencies, repairs, and maintenance activities across the wireless network.
- Conduct site visits, inspections, and assessments to validate scope, identify issues, and ensure compliance with company and industry standards.
- Develop Statements of Work (SOWs), obtain contractor quotes, manage tenders, and oversee project execution from start to finish.
- Coordinate tower, HVAC, fire system, and site infrastructure maintenance programs, ensuring timely completion of corrective actions.
- Support capital infrastructure upgrades by developing estimates, managing budgets, and partnering with Engineering, Network Services, Procurement, and Field Operations teams.
- Manage contractor performance, vendor relationships, purchase orders, invoicing, and cost controls to maximize value and quality.
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with health, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
- Provide project reporting, maintain accurate documentation, and support business continuity and disaster recovery initiatives.
What You'll Bring
- Knowledge in Civil engineering technology
- Experience managing civil infrastructure, construction, facilities, or telecommunications projects.
- Strong knowledge of contractor management, project coordination, budgeting, and cost control.
- Experience conducting site inspections, developing scopes of work, and managing maintenance or capital projects.
- Strong understanding of health and safety requirements and contractor compliance.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project tracking systems.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel throughout the province, including occasional overnight travel.
Preferred:
- Telecommunications or wireless network infrastructure experience.
- Knowledge of tower, rooftop, HVAC, fire alarm, and site infrastructure systems.
- Experience working with landlords, utility companies, engineering consultants, and external vendors.
