The Optimization Specialist be responsible for optimizing the Radio Access Network (RAN) and finding new angles/methods to improve network performance, efficiently.
Within the RF and Planning Performance team, you'll focus on customers' wireless experience to make it continuously improved. Your innovation will help to improve the Key Performance Indicators of the UMTS/LTE/5G network. And your mindset and skills on automation will help to improve the quality and efficiency of the way we do network performance engineering.


What you will do:


  • Responsible for the network performance of wireless network
  • Radio planning and optimization of UMTS/LTE/5G Multi band network to troubleshoot and improve KPIs
  • Ensure network performance KPIs are meeting targets, and are continuously improving
  • Troubleshoot network degradations, analyses root causes, to reduce the impact of on customer user experience
  • Support network upgrades by analyzing the impacts on performance, and proposing optimization
  • Developing dashboards and data visualizations you will provide insight into network performance that can be shared with executives, peer groups


What you'll bring: 


  • Bachelor's degree in electrical, computer or other related engineering discipline from an accredited program.
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience with LTE/5G wireless data is required.
  • Ericsson RAN equipment knowledge: parameters, capabilities and limitations of the hardware and software portfolio
  • Experience working with Ericsson OSS platform for parameter retrieval/changes, alarm monitoring, and performance analysis.
  • Experience with drive data collection tools such as NEMO, TEMS, etc.
  • Experience using data processing tools/software’s including, Windcatcher, TEMS, etc.
  • Experience monitoring and analyzing critical KPIs; Retainability, Accessibility, Integrity, Mobility, HO optimization, and new feature activation.
  • Experience utilizing data analytics tools.
  • Knowledge of network diagnostic tools/commands, data networking protocols, and experience tuning LTE/ 5G parameters and a good knowledge of LTE 3GPP standards, LTE RAN air interface, L3 signaling, and LTE RAN functionality.
  • Experience generating RF engineering and management reports in Excel, Access, PowerPoint, etc. Basic programming skills, such as experience with Visual Basic, in order to develop database queries that convert raw statistics into useful information.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft computer applications including Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook required
  • Scripting to support network maintenance, network expansion and IRAT configurations.
  • 5 years’ experience using RF predictive tools Planet
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience with query and template creation for LTE/5G KPI’s.
  • Must possess the ability to solve complex problems, demonstrate the ability to conduct strategic analysis in order to make decisions with time constraints.
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills and excellent oral & written communication skills required.
