Reporting to the regional Marketing Director, the primary focus of this role will be to work on developing regional marketing strategy and plans required to deliver and exceed on the objectives for the Internet, TV, Home Phone, and Smart Home Monitoring products for Atlantic Canada. They will also work with business partners across other Rogers products, including wireless and business services.
This is the ideal job for a candidate who lives and breathes achieving business results, can manage multiple tasks, has a strong analytical background, marketing experience and likes a healthy balance of strategy and execution.  The successful candidate will need to influence cross-functional teams responsible for the consumer residential business while narrating the Atlantic marketing story.  
What you will be doing: 

  • Develop a deep understanding of consumers in Atlantic Canada.  Maintain a “customer first” lens when planning and executing programs – ensure we do the right thing for both the customers and the business.
  • Drive revenue and new customer acquisition in Atlantic Canada via targeted marketing campaigns (New Brunswick and Newfoundland) with a keen eye for managing churn and retention for the residential business. 
  • Analyze and develop insights from data that will lead to targeted Atlantic marketing plans.
  • Play a lead role in leading major regional projects for the region that touch multiple stakeholders.
  • Spend time out and about with the intent of building cross-functional relationships, gaining insights and building a local presence.
  • Own, understand, monitor and track against business objectives related to your regional programs while identifying trends and gathering insights and recommendations on outcomes. 
  • Work closely with Brand, Go-to-Market, Public Relations, Channel Marketing, Sales Channels, Pricing and other cross-functional teams to deliver strong strategic marketing plans that deliver on Residential Marketing objectives.

What you bring: 

  • University degree in Business (undergraduate or MBA) strongly preferred
  • 8+ years marketing (planning and execution) experience with large organizations preferred.
  • A team player, able to work in a heavily matrixed organization.
  • Self driven, ability to take initiatives and propose concepts/activities that would make a difference for our customers. 
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team either face-to-face or remotely.
  • Strong analytical background, with the ability to ask the right questions, review data, and translate insight into strategy.
  • Exceptional communication, project management and advanced presentation skills.
  • Self-starter and proactive in nature, with ability to work independently in cross-functional teams
  • Brings diverse thinking, curiosity and a passion for understanding the consumer.
  • Experience in and a passion for residential services and/or telecommunications an asset
