K-Rock 105.7 in Kingston has an exciting opportunity for a Full-Time Music Director and Announcer. Reporting to the Program Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for the daily music logs, while doing a live radio show. We're looking for someone who has a passion for radio, music, & communicating, and to help us build our brand. Kingston is a vibrant city that has all the advantages of a big city with a small town feel! Just a couple of hours from Ottawa and Toronto, on beautiful Lake Ontario, the Limestone City is built on ROCK.

Description:

  • Daily Music scheduling
  • Work with Program Director on the overall sound of the station
  • Daily on-air shift
  • Commercial voicing
  • Attend station events and remotes

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years experience as a Music Director.
  • Knowledge/passion for the Rock format
  • Relate to target audience
  • Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-motivated, team player with a positive attitude and a passion to succeed
  • Exceptional communication and people skills a must
  • Experience with web editing considered an asset
  • Proficient understanding of social media platforms including Twitter, Facebook and Instagram
  • Ability to work independently when required
  • Must be willing to work evenings and weekends when required for promotional activity
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, & PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of Music Master, Wide Orbit Automation, Adobe Audition
  • Must hold a valid Drivers license
