Who we're looking for:
The Senior Software Developer executes the strategic direction and vision for the Rogers Business Managed Services (RBMS) development team, ensuring that projects align with the company’s goals and objectives. You will be primarily responsible for developing and supporting a network management platform that includes web applications, services and third party API integration tools. In addition, strong knowledge and hands-on experience with SQL is required as your responsibilities will also include SQL development and maintenance, such as designing and implementing new tables and stored procedures and analyzing and enhancing performance of existing ones.
What you'll do:

Project Management & Oversight: responsible for managing the entire software development lifecycle, from initial planning and design to implementation, testing, and deployment. This includes setting project timelines, allocating resources, and ensuring that milestones are met. Your oversight ensures that projects stay on track and are delivered on time and within budget.

Technical Expertise: Design, code, test, and debug complex software applications. Conduct technical design reviews, code reviews, and functional specification reviews. With expert-level proficiency in both frontend and backend development, you ensure that the technical aspects of projects are executed flawlessly.

Quality Assurance: Develop and maintain quality assurance documentation, conduct code reviews, and implement testing strategies to ensure that software meets performance, capacity, and scalability standards. Your focus on quality helps to minimize bugs and issues, leading to more reliable and robust software products.

Innovation & Improvement: Continuously identify and assess new technologies and methodologies to improve software products and development processes. By staying up-to-date with industry trends, you ensure that the company remains competitive and can leverage the latest advancements to enhance RBMS software and product offerings.

Azure Virtual Machines: Manage Azure Virtual Machines, including deployment, scaling, and monitoring of resources.

Azure Networking: Apply Azure networking concepts, security configurations, and best practices to protect applications.

Azure Managed SQL: Use Azure Managed SQL instances for data storage, including setup, management, and optimization of SQL databases.

CI/CD Pipelines: Design and manage CI/CD pipelines for automated software builds and deployments to streamline release processes.

Multi-Threading: Understand and apply multi-threading concepts to develop applications that perform concurrent tasks efficiently.

RBMS DevOps: Work with RBMS stakeholders to identify areas for continuous improvement and execute, test, and implement these enhancements.
What you bring:
