TSC - Today’s Shopping Choice is looking for a professional with an analytical mind to execute, analyze, and present findings from reporting and audits of retail financial transactions related to: Order Processing; Customer Service; Accounts Receivables; Inventory Management; Order Fulfillment, and Returns.  

 

The Credit & Risk Analyst is a key support role critical to the success of Risk & Loss Prevention strategic plan. Reporting to the Manager, Loss Prevention, the Credit & Risk Analyst will gather insights from multiple sources to identify areas of opportunity that will drive risk mitigation, cost containment, and compliance to policy and procedures within TSC - Today’s Shopping Choice. 

 

This position will work Monday to Friday (9 AM to 5 PM) and be based out of TSC’s 59 Ambassador Drive location; however, from time to time, the incumbent may be required to work at our National Distribution Centre located at 6885 Kennedy Road in Mississauga.  This position will have a hybrid weekly schedule and will accommodate working from home and working from office 2 to 3 days per week.  This hybrid schedule is flexible but will be driven primarily by business needs. 

 

What you will do…

  • Deliver best-in-class Customer Service by putting customer’s first in everything we do.
  • Conduct audits of financial transactions using a variety of daily, weekly, and monthly reports.  Audits will identify system issues, opportunities for process improvement, incidents of non-compliance to policy and procedure, and may identify cases of internal and customer fraud.   
  • Deliver comprehensive reporting and analysis of audit findings that will:  quantify financial impacts to the business and customer; trending; root cause analysis; and recommendations for resolution and corrective action.
  • Collaborate and communicate with internal departments to drive improvements, cost containment and reduction, efficiencies, and improved customer experience.
  • Co-ordinate and execute programs that seek to remediate undesirable customer behaviors.  Provide analysis on effectiveness and impacts. 
  • Provide analytics, planning, training, and reporting to support the Credit & Risk team as it relates to existing and new processes, technology, and projects. 
  • Co-ordinate the reporting and analysis of carrier claims, credits, and losses. 
  • Support the Credit & Risk team with administration of vendor orders and payments.

  • A solid understanding of retail frontend and inventory processes including Loss Prevention and Internal Control principles
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel with a high level of proficiency in MS Office (PowerPoint, Word)
  • Strong organizational, planning and time management skills; multi-task oriented with a high level of accuracy
  • Ability to remain flexible and adaptable in a complex & changing work environment
  • Excellent written & verbal communications skills with ability to present findings in a succinct and professional manner
  • Working knowledge of VisionPlus, ESM and SFSC (SalesForce CRM) an asset
  • Must be able to pass a Criminal background check
