Today's Shopping Choice is currently seeking an experienced Logistics Specialist to join our Logistics and Supply Chain team working out of our Mississauga office. This role is a 6 month contract. The successful individual will be comfortable working in an extremely fast-paced environment.

 

The main responsibilities of the position are as follows:

  • Transportation management, rate analysis, booking deliveries to meet due dates
  • Experience in International documentation including customs and transportation
  • Strong internal and external customer relations and collaboration  
  • Purchase Order management for the product flow from and to vendors
  • Product Cost Analysis to include transportation and customs related charges/fees
  • Managing KPI’s and associated analytics
  • Customs clearance process monitoring
  • Knowledgeable of policy and legal requirements under the various regulations an asset (i.e. FDA, CFIA, CCRA)
  • Freight Audit
     

Qualifications:

  • Post graduate specializing in Logistics preferred
  • 3 years minimum experience working in Logistics in an import environment
  • Expert knowledge of 3PL and international transportation industry
  • Customs experience preferred
  • Exert knowledge working with Microsoft Office Applications
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Thrives in a fast paced environment while multi-tasking
  • Resolution oriented
  • Great Team Player - with a "can do" attitude
  • Administration duties as required

 

The selected candidate is required to provide two business references, as well as successfully complete a criminal background check.
