TSC is seeking an UX Specialist to join our User Experience team. Reporting to the Senior Director of the Digital Channel, the candidate will be tasked to support the team in improving the user experience for TSC digital properties with an overall goal of improving website sales conversion, self-service capabilities and driving profitable revenue growth.

The successful candidate will be well organized, have a keen eye for detail and ability to manage projects successfully. The candidate will create and define detailed business requirements,have strong analytical skills and knowledge of wireframing. Being the business representative, this role also requires strong collaboration, communication and presentation skills with internal groups such as IT, merchandising and marketing.


  • Be a key contributing member of the UX team; providing ideas and suggestions to help develop the roadmap for TSC.ca digital properties (website and mobile apps)
  • Proactively find opportunities to improve our user experience in the form of ‘quick hits’.  Engage with IT to prioritize these enhancements/fixes by providing detailed requirements and managing timelines to completion.
  • Continually monitor industry best practices from a user experience perspective and measure TSC.ca and apps against best in class
  • Perform User Acceptance Testing of our live TSC digital properties to discover and fix bugs that impact the user experience
  • Support the UX team with weekly usability testing to ensure the customer experience across all digital touchpoints.
  • Be an integral part of testing activities for major and minor enhancements in scheduled IT releases
  • Manage and grow the Ratings & Reviews program.
  • Use knowledge of Adobe Analytics (Omniture), Qualtrics, PowerReviews, and social media  platforms (Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest)  to perform analysis on the customer experience.


  • Undergraduate degree in Business, Technology, Marketing, Engineering or other technical discipline; MBA an asset
  • 2-3 years of experience in an eCommerce or Software development environment, in an analytical or business function
  • Experience managing projects and creating detailed business requirements
  • Experience working with and driving actionable insights from web analytics platforms such as Adobe Analytics (Omniture) and/or Google Analytics
    Familiarity with usability testing methodologies and processes
  • General understanding of UX methodologies that puts the customer first i.e. user-centered design, Design thinking etc.
  • General understanding of SEO and measurements of success
  • Experience managing vendor relationships
  • Solid team player with excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work with stakeholders across functions in a matrix organization to get the job done.
  • Proven track record of driving improved business results by identifying and acting upon opportunities to improve productivity
