Rogers is seeking a Director, Wireless Access Networks for the Atlantic Region. This position is based in Atlantic Canada and will report to the Senior Director, Access Networks Atlantic. The Director, Wireless Access Network, Atlantic will lead a team that is accountable for wireless planning and engineering; implementation; and operations. The successful candidate will possess strong communication skills and technical acumen and can drive change to deliver results. Leading through strong relationships and empowerment you will work collaboratively with all levels of the organization. Some provincial travel will be required.  

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, manage and lead a team of managers and employees that will deliver Wireless Access Network projects and programs in the Atlantic Region
  • Lead the wireless operations group to achieve excellence in customer satisfaction through team driven KPI delivery
  • Lead operational standards initiatives that will drive overall opex efficiencies
  • Work collaboratively with key regional stakeholders to deliver regional success.
  • Work with the Network PMO to ensure accurate tracking and reporting of project and program schedules and costs
  • Support teams and assist to remove obstacles on both projects and operating activities
  • Build and drive a collaborative culture aligned to Access Networks governance processes
  • Create a high level of team engagement by mentoring, coaching and supporting development plans
  • Manage budgets to deliver against targets
  • Liaise with partners, municipalities, and utilities as required
     

Key Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10 years’ direct technical experience with at least 3 years in a Network management role
  • Post Secondary education in Engineering, Engineering Technology or an equivalent combination of training
  • Strong understanding of municipal approval processes for new wireless cell site construction
  • Ability to prioritize effectively and build alignment around priorities
  • Superior communication (written and verbal), negotiation and facilitation skills
  • Proven ability to resolve issues, mitigate roadblocks, and align teams consistently and collaboratively.
  • Expert problem solving, troubleshooting decision making skills
  • PMP certification considered an asset.
