Rogers is seeking a Senior Project Manager to manage the implementation of strategic projects. These could include product, service expansion and application development projects executed to support strategic business and capital build programs.   You will play a key role in managing the entire project life cycle, taking projects/programs from inception to final implementation and closure.  You will be accountable for delivering complex cross Business Unit (BU) programs within scope, on schedule, on budget, at the expected quality, and in alignment with the Rogers best practices and guidelines. 

 
What you will be doing:

  • Applying the best practices for Project Management to ensure the projects under your responsibility are delivered within the approved scope, schedule and budget while keeping the business case and customer experience in mind.
  • Manage all the planning and execution aspects of large and complex cross functional projects and programs, including project scoping, resource assignment, project plan development, budget management, project tracking, monitoring and reporting
  • Ensure cross functional alignment and management of critical path deliverables from Go To Market, Marketing Finance, Communications, Technology etc. functional teams to ensure a great customer experience and accomplishment of project objectives and in-service targets
  • Use critical thinking skills to anticipate and manage potential risks that will arise. Communicate these to the stakeholders on a regular basis and ensure decisions are made quickly and effectively.
  • Proactively monitor, track and control project outcomes by resolving issues to ensure overall business readiness of the solution
  • Develop and maintain all project documentation (Project Plan, Issue and Action Logs, Risk Management, Communication Plan, Status Reports, Post Implementation Reviews, etc.).
  • Identify benefits expected from initiatives and conduct post implementation reviews to report on and track results.
  • Proactively communicating to multiple levels of the organization to provide status updates as well as to secure alignment on key decisions, support from the upper management when needed and resources.
  • Contributing to the success of the Service Expansion team by providing your inputs and ideas as part of the strategic planning of the service expansion portfolio.

  

What you will bring…

  • Experience in project management, preferably in projects associated with the deployment or implementation of solutions in the telecom industry and multi million-dollar budgets.
  • Experience in managing a group of simultaneous initiatives.
  • Completely conversant in Microsoft Project, Teams and other MS Office tools. 
  • Knowledge of the Atlassian suite of products (JIRA, Confluence, etc.) is an asset.
  • Knowledge and consistent application of proven industry standard Project Management approaches.
  • Strong project financial forecasting and cost management
  • High level of energy and strong passion to lead team members to successful completion of projects and to ensure the delivery of a positive customer experience.
  • Creativity, flexibility and an ability to manage time and reset priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Superior skill set, including analytical thinking and problem solving, coaching and leadership, presentation and facilitation, negotiation and relationship building and proficient probing, listening and positioning skills
  • PMP certification & previous project management experience is an asset
  • Must hold a valid driver’s license as travel is required in this role
