What you will be doing:

- Build and maintain strong relationships and develop your credibility with senior levels of management.
- Provide consultation and coaching on issues associated with legal and procedural compliance, employee relations, workforce planning, talent and performance management, compensation, and organizational development.
- Participate actively, with management, in establishing effective practices for meeting the needs of the company and employees.
- Drive the development of the next generation of leaders across all levels of the organization. Facilitate talent review processes and ensure follow up activities are delivered. Ensure close alignment with Talent Acquisition on workforce planning and internal mobility targets.
- Understand the pulse of the organization at all levels and act as a conduit back into the HR team and to senior business leaders both within the region as well as nationally.
- Exhibit aptitudes for priority management and effective labour management.
- Increase the capacity of the business unit’s managers and employees to independently resolve problems involving labour relations and among employees and to stimulate change management through knowledge transfer, mentoring and training.
- Work on national human resource projects and programs; plan and implement projects in connection with key initiatives that are local and national in scope.
- Along with management, improve HR practices, process choices and programs.
- Stay informed about business knowledge within your department and across the company.
- Participate in industry and HR committees to seek out and implement best practices.
- Along with management, determine and understand their needs, communicate effectively, and carry out national human resource programs.
What you will bring:
- Between 3 and 5 years of experience in human resources as a generalist or advisor, preferably in large companies (CPHR is an asset).
- University degree with a concentration in business or human resources.
- Bilingual :A good knowledge of English is necessary as this role requires regular communication in English with customers and/or team members in other provinces.
- Able to navigate and collaborate in matrix-based mode across various functional teams and establish strong relationships at all levels of the hierarchy.
- Good problem-solving and influencing ability, along with the ability to understand many human resource issues and diplomatically resolve conflict situations.
- Able to work under pressure and with strong organization, planning and time-management skills.
- Able to drive multiple matters and projects in parallel.
- Experience in conducting inquiries and investigations.
- Impeccable work ethic and able to manage priorities while meeting tight deadlines.
